18 inch Leather Messenger Bag

My whole career, practicing medicine, I’ve been inside a hospital or clinic. I never needed to carry my medical equipment anywhere. Recently, however, I started a job performing in home health examinations for an insurance company. So my day is going into random strangers homes and examining them in all kinds of situations. I have about a dozen items that I need to perform physical exams, like stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, etc. About half the time it is a poor exam environment, and I don’t always have space to set up my exam equipment. My first two solutions proved horribly awkward to carry and access. So I finally decided to buy a bag that would look more professional and work better than what I was using. Key for me were the two large outside pockets, outside the main body of the bag so the contents wouldn’t get crushed, and big enough to hold and access things like thermometer, reflex hammer, etc., quickly and easily, and without diving into the bag itself. Another key was its ability to stand by itself and not fall over. Last and most important it had to be large enough to hold a scale, 2 inch thick laptop, clipboard, etc. and everything easy to access while I am in a patient’s home trying to build a rapport with them. It’s only been a couple of days, but I am amazed at how much the right piece of equipment could make my entire job easier. I can now set up pretty much anywhere, have everything accessible yet contained. So this seems pretty much a perfect bag for my job. As for the bag itself, it is heavy duty and minimalist. I honestly would’ve preferred the style of several other bags on Amazon, but none of them had the giant outside pockets like this one. And this one does look good, just not fancy. The leather itself seems pretty bombproof, we’ll have to see if the hardware lasts. I agree with others that the strap is super long. Overall, I definitely recommend, this bag is versatile and well-made.

I am a very picky gift giver which is silly because I am not the one using the item. But I want the person I am giving the gift to to be as happy as possible. I must have searched through at least 50 leather laptop bags, and I always came back to this one and I am beyond happy that I did. I gave this to my boyfriend for Valentines Day as he has just got a big promotion at work and I wanted him to have something stylish and sleek yet still manly to fit his new position and he loves leather. This bag was perfect! The craftsmanship is awesome, it smells of quality leather, and feels amazingly smooth. It is not overwhelming with pockets, but is still spacious enough to hold his laptop, charger, notebooks, phone, pens, and other miscellaneous items comfortably without being bulky or looking misshapen. The buckles are sturdy and function easily, even one handed. The strap is strong and the connectors are strong as well. Its been two months and the leather has begun to relax and the bag still looks as amazing as the day he opened it. He has gotten so many compliments on how expensive and good it looks. I honestly don't think he will have to replace this bag for many many years to come, the quality of it is just that good! Added bonus that I won great girlfriend brownie points for giving it to him 😂🤣. If you were on the fence between this laptop bag and another one, do yourself a solid AND GET THIS ONE! You won't be disappointed, I promise.

To say it right off the bat: this bag is nearly perfect, and purchasing it was great decision. Instead of reviewing it the day I received it, which wouldn’t add much beyond the product description, I decided to wait. Now, after nearly three years of consistent use, I feel confident sharing just how great this bag truly is. This bag has stood up to everything Midwest weather can throw at it—temperatures over 100°F, freezing -20°F cold, blizzards, torrential rain, and scorching sun. It’s been tossed into the back of trucks, taken as a carry-on for flights, and endured countless spills of water, coffee, and even beer. Each time, I just wiped it clean, and it looked good as new. I’ve also overstuffed it more times than I can count, and it’s been yanked and pulled by its straps and handles. Despite all that, the bag still looks and functions as perfect as the day I received it. -No wear on the edges. -The stitching is flawless. -All the hardware has held up perfectly. I started this review by calling the bag “nearly perfect” because I assumed I’d eventually find some flaw. But honestly, after all this time, I can’t think of a single issue. Knowing what I know now, I’d gladly pay four times the price for this bag because it’s clear I’ll never need to buy another one. The value here is incredible. Sure, it costs more than cheaper alternatives, but when I consider how long this bag will last, it’s clear I’ll save money in the long run. Before, I used to replace my bags every two or three years. With this one? That’s a thing of the past. If you’re seriously considering buying this bag and reading reviews to make up your mind, let me save you the trouble: just buy it. You won’t regret it.

I went from a 13” MacBook Pro to a 16” M1 Max MacBook Pro, and the messenger bag that served me so well for 7 years wouldn’t hold the larger laptop. I searched for a messenger bag that was not only large enough, but also durable without having to pay big bucks. The ones I looked at either had poor durability reviews or the price was unreasonable. The reviews for this 18” KomalC bag were encouraging, and the price was great for it being made from genuine top grain leather and it being so large. It shipped without any issues. When it arrived, the packaging was carefully designed with the bag in a nice cloth bag and a there was a letter from the maker with care instructions. The smell was that classic leather aroma. The distressed look of the leather was a well-done vintage style. It looks like I’ve had it in good service for years. Very nice. Thick! It has 1 large section for up to an 18” laptop. I use a Tomtoc 360 degree protective laptop sleeve to hold my 16” MBP, and it fits beautifully. The bag is well padded in the laptop section, I just have always used an extra layer of protection. In front of the laptop section is another large section. It’s about the same size, but the front divider doesn’t have the padding like the laptop pocket. There are 2 small pockets on that divider that are perfect for my 2 external hard drives and their wires. It accommodates my wires and chargers bag perfectly. In front of that section is another large section, but it’s more narrow and a couple of inches shorter. Folders of documents and a large tablet fit nicely. There are 2 outer small pockets up front that fit right under the flap. The flap buckles are on them. They’re about 6” wide, about 8” deep, and about 1.5” thick. They’re good for stuffing with miscellaneous items. They have worked good so far, but they don’t have their own closures. The flap goes over them. It’s possible (it hasn’t happened to me) for smaller things to come out of them if the bag goes upside down. There’s a zippered pocket on the back that’s about 16” wide and 10” deep. I use it to hold things I want quick access to. The leather is thick. I’ve used it daily, for 7 months with no signs of wear. The stitching is holding up without any issues. Each pocket is lined with sort of a synthetic canvas that is both supple and durable. I like that it has a top handle. My last bag didn’t. It’s all leather, 4X thick, and strongly riveted to the top of the flap. The shoulder strap is webbing with leather trim. The pad on the strap is the same leather as the rest of the bag. The hardware is holding up well. No signs of wear. This messenger bag looks and performs like 4 times its price. I waited 7 months to do a review because I thought the bag was too good to be true. I wanted to see how it performed and I’m not disappointed at all. I highly recommend it to those who need a large leather messenger bag. I’m happy I found this bag by KomalC.

EDIT: Pictures added after conditioning the bag show my laptop in it. Though you can’t tell from my shoddy pictures, I guesstimate another 1” in width, length, and depth could fit in the laptop space and my laptop measures 16 5/8” length x 12 7/8” width x 1 3/4” depth.... screen size is 17.3” and model is HP Omen. I will update this review, if anything changes in the coming months. INITIAL REVIEW: Floored at the quality in this laptop bag. I purchased a near identical bag that no doubt ripped off this pattern and even description. Not only was the other bag too small to accommodate my 17.3” laptop, the leather was very thin compared to Komal’s. This bag should have padding on each side of the laptop and it would absolutely perfect. Not complaining as the craftsmanship well compensates for this small issue. I’m truly blown away at the value for price. Regarding the claim of fitting up 18” laptops, my HP Omen 17.3” monster laptop fits with PLENTY of room to spare. The strap that secures the laptop is made of leather and not velcro and I love this feature. Side note: the seller ships with the buckles turned backwards in order to protect the bag when he ships it. These buckles are NOT sewn in place and can simply be pulled off, turned over, and then replaced onto the straps. Speaking of the shipping/packing, this gentleman goes overboard, which is a great thing. All buckles and hardware are wrapped in plastic/cellophane to prevent any leather damage and the two large, front leather pockets were stuffed with shredded paper so they were not creased in route. Furthermore, there’s a two-page thank you/care instruction sheet included in the bag. Cannot speak enough on the value and quality of this bag.... Those who suspect I was asked or paid to write this review, please trust I was not asked or compensated to write this review. Truth be told, I wrote the seller to gripe about the buckles being sewn on backwards (I was completely wrong) and his kind, patient reply (along with quality of product) is what prompted this review. Amazing bag and customer service, Mr. Komal. Hope your small business grows beyond your dreams! This piece of art is worth double or triple your price point. Flawless.

For the money, it will be hard to beat this bag. Simple styling, quality materials, good look. Hardware seems sturdy. Leather is thick with a good feel to it. Color is what I was looking for. It's a simple bag for a simple purpose, and that's what I was wanting. I went with the 18" bag because I didn't want to risk the 15" bag being too small. The 18" bag is..... big. Borders on too big for my frame (5'10"), but it's manageable. Could definitely use this as my only carry-on for a 1- or 2-night trip, if I packed light. Can't comment on durability, since I haven't even had the bag for a year, but it appears to be built to last. I would buy this bag again, but might go smaller with the 15" version. My only significant complaint: The shoulder strap is too long. I've tried to adjust it, but the shoulder pad is too small to allow the adjustable ring to pass through, so the range is limited. I contacted the manufacturer, and received prompt feedback. They offered a suggestion that did not solve the problem. When I contacted them a second time with this report, they offered to send a new/wider shoulder pad "asap." I still have yet to receive this replacement pad, or any additional communication from the manufacturer. If I could get that new shoulder pad (since I'd have to cut the existing pad off to shorten the strap further), and adjust the strap length to my preference, I'd give this bag 5/5 stars overall. As it is, I'll live with this strap being too long and hope that the manufacturer reads this review and sends me the shoulder pad as they said they would.

Incredible quality for the price. I purchased the 15 Inch Retro and loved it, but I was having to make it work with my ridiculously big work laptop - it worked - but it was packed tight. Reluctantly, I was browsing for a larger bag and, low and behold, this bag, a carbon copy of the 15 inch was available. It wasn't available two weeks earlier when I bought the 15 inch. It is exactly the same (though, obviously, 3 inches wider and a little deeper) as the very highly rated and gushingly reviewed 15-inch Retro Buffalo Hunter. I cannot emphasize enough how nice and well made this bag is. I am a fifty-year-old professional and have had many, many bags and briefcases. At a leather goods store, or a Mori Gifts and luggage type of establishment - this bag would easily fetch $400 or more. I am not kidding... and I am not being paid for this review. I really am astounded by the quality and look of this bag for $90. And it has all the space I need for day planner, laptop, cords, chargers, with room to spare. The front pockets have hidden latches under the buckles - so no wrestling with the buckles to get at your stuff. There are nice, lined pockets on the inside to store USBs, mouse, pens, etc. The shoulder strap is easily adjustable, removable, and comfortable. There is a very large, zippered pocket on the back of the bag - the zipper is heavy and high quality. The bag is gorgeous, functional, and genuinely well made - it will be the last bag I buy and I am certain it will last until retirement. I work for a prominent, large corporation and have received multiple compliments about the bag (I really wasn't going for that when I bought a $90 bag, just wanted to stop using a back-pack - I am fifty after all...) Thank you Komal for making an extremely high-quality product at such an affordable price. I don't know how you do it, but I sure hope you are making a good living off of this - you deserve it - Well done!

Pour ce prix je m attendais a un truc bas de gamme et moche d autant plus que les photos de presentation ne donnent pas trop envie mais il me fallait un cartable de plus de 43 cm pour mon pc portable et cette taille ne courre pas les rues. J ai ete bluffė par la qualite de l objet,le cuir est superbe,souple, velouté, la patine est tres discrète (sur les photo on a l impression d une ruine trouvée dans une poubelle) la fabrication est minutieuse, les ferrures sont haut de gamme (bronze/laiton massif) les fermetures sont les plus belles que j ai vu. Il y a un compartiment rembourré pour le PC Si l on pouvait mettre 20 etoiles je les mettrais N.b la semaine derniere j ai achete un sac de voyage en buffle du meme style chez rustic town, j ai du le maquiller au cirage pour atténuer son look pouilleux. Je regrette de n avoir pas acheter ce sac chez ce fabriquant. SANS HESITATION JE CONSEILLE CE FABRIQUANT pour la moitie du prix du meme objet en cuir de chevre (le cuir qui pue) vous avez un cuir magnifique

Die Laptop-Tasche ist echt Wahnsinn. Habe sie für meinen Mann bestellt für die Arbeit. Versand war top, gut verpackt mit Stofftasche. Nach dem auspacken war ich super begeistert, denn die Tasche sieht richtig robust,gut verarbeitet und wertig aus durch das Büffelleder. Alle Verschlüsse schließen und scheinen sehr langlebig zu sein. Sie ist sehr groß mit super viel Stauraum. Wollte eigentlich eine Größe kleiner bestellen,hatte dann aber Angst dass keine Ordner und Laptop und was man so noch braucht reinpassen. Aber bei dieser Größe passt mega viel rein:) War ein Geschenk für meinen Mann,ist perfekt für Männer die immer nichts haben wollen:) Ihm gefällt sie sehr gut. Würde ich sofort für diesen Preis wieder bestellen,ist ein richtiges Schnäppchen.

Torba prezentuje się naprawdę świetnie. Jest duża, bardziej pod laptopa 17 - 19 cali. Wygląda bardzo solidnie, ma 3 duże przegrody oraz 2 mniejsze. I tu jedyna uwaga: brak wewnątrz jakieś małej, zamykanej, najlepiej na zamek, przegródki np. na pendrive. Jest wprawdzie kieszeń na zamek z tyłu torby, ale brak mi jakiejś małej, zamykanej wewnątrz. Poza tym zero zastrzeżeń. Polecam.

I wanted something a bit more classy to replace my old work laptop rucksack and this is perfect. Nice genuine leather with a weathered style so I don't have to worry about scratching or damaging it. I went for the 18" and it's big, which is great for fitting a laptop, cables, notebooks plus lunch, etc. If going for a one or two day business trip (once lockdown is done) I'd probably use it for a carry on bag with a spare set of clothes. I could probably have got away with the 16" version but I love this bag. Well made and sturdy, great for the price.

It’s perfect. Better than the pic. Came in a muslin bag as protection. My grandson will love it.
