Worth the money!

I hesitated to watch this show previously. I had mixed feelings about what I had heard he was but after everyone I knew suggested watching it I went ahead an bought this. The first episode started out in such a way that I wasn't sure I was going to like it. By the time that episode was over I couldn't stop watching it. I binge watched the entire 8 seasons in a couple of weeks. I have since bought every prequel and sequel they have released. And can't wait for the next one. If you haven't seen it, give the first episode or 2 a chance. If you have watched this but don't own this set, the Blu-ray quality is quite good. I didn't love the packaging for this set as all of the plastic trays tend to break but mine arrived undamaged so I'll call it good.

Very happy with this set. Yes, the HUGE plastic box of DVDs is a pain in the butt. But so far, the DVD's have played with no problems. The color and clarity on these disks is outstanding. The audio is great, even though we really wanted a CLOSE CAPTIONED or SUBTITLED set...and I'm happy to confirm this set IS "subtitled" (couldn't verify that before ordering). So far, we've only watched through two seasons, but don't anticipate any problems. The disks are marked "made in Germany", (better than "made in China"). We're very pleased with this purchase.

I recently binge watched the whole series on Netflix, and given New Blood wasn't on there and I was going to have to buy that season anyways, I figured I'd just buy this box set given its good price. I haven't gone through all of the discs, but I did pick a few out at random to get an overall gauge of the quality, and I can say it holds up very well; even the early seasons are not overly grainy and are quite good-looking. Audio quality is also good, nothing super crazy but about what you would expect from a standard blu ray disc. This series is easily already one of my favorite shows with the First season especially being a very enjoyable watch. Where this product in particular loses a Star is simply due to the packaging, The show is a 5 star show in my opinion, but the plastic holding the discs is cheap and is chipping away already from just pulling the discs out for the first time. The discs are also stacked on-top of each other in a pretty inconvientent way that would make binge watching a bit annoying. All things considered, for what is more than 100 hours of good TV I can say its still a good purchase even with the poor packaging in mind, well worth the money if you are someone who likes to keep physical media.

Great set, but the disc labeled season 3 disc 2 is actually season 8 disc 1. Luckily (or maybe intentionally?) the disc labeled season 8 (final season) disc 1 is actually season 3 disc 2. So everything worked out, but I’d check that your collection is correct or at least has the correct content with mislabeled discs before your return window closes

I watch ⌚️ these far too much, lol. I actually need to reorder my set sometime soon. After all, I'm on my 4th DVD player. 💿

Everything seems to be good. Disks all look good.

Great box set for anyone who enjoys crime dramas with complex characters. The full original series is included, and New Blood adds a strong, darker continuation that feels more polished and reflective. Good picture and sound quality throughout, and it’s nice having everything in one place. Excellent value for fans or first-time viewers wanting the complete story.
