Cheap replacement that works perfectly

Everything hooked up just fine worked fine. The shipping was quick thank you very much.

Put it on my 1997 4Runner SR5 4x4 that would lose power brakes intermittently. With 330k miles, it wasn’t worth deciding between the check valve or the booster diaphragm. And for $70, not worth the time to investigate. New one was a drop in, took about 30 min. perfect fit. 1) remove the spring and cotter pin from the pedal linkage pin 2) remove the pedal linkage pin 3) unbolt the 4 nuts to the firewall. I used a deep well socket and u-joint/swivel extension. worked well. 4) pull the vacuum line under the hood 5) unbolt the master cylinder 6) Install in reverse. NOTE: my factory nuts were 12mm but the new ones were 13mm. was all I needed except a 10mm to drop the dash panel because i accidentally let the other end of the pedal spring unhook from the dash. So keep an eye on that. There’s a plastic protective boot on the pedal side you need to remove first. My OEM booster had a grommet that goes the between the booster housing and the firewall. New one didn’t have this so i installed the original. It was in good shape. did not have to remove the master cylinder, just removed the 2 nuts and pulled it forward to slide the booster out.

Affordable and works quite well. Easy to install on my '98 4Runner. Saved myself a few hundred dollars instead of going to a regular car parts store.

Tried contacting manufacturer and they don’t respond. Installed brake booster in my 00 Toyota 4Runner 4x4 it fit perfectly and works as it should giving brake assist but only issue is it makes an irritating clicking noise from inside the booster at every pedal press. It wouldn’t be a big deal if you turn up the music but the point is it shouldn’t make that noise at every press. You hear the normal booster noise when pressing the pedal. I gabe a one star due to them now answering and resolving the issue.

As a retired aerospace engineer, I measured everything in comparison to my old ‘99 4Runner brake booster and found that this new one, purchased here, was perfect, down to the thousands of an inch, was easy to install, in less than hour, (with Jesus prayed into it) and now I have the best brakes ever!

I bought this for my 1999 Toyota 4Runner after my brakes stopped working randomly one day. I had replaced my master cylinder but that didn't solve the problem so I bought this. This brake booster was by far the cheapest option since I am in Hawaii and shipping would be an additional $100 if I bought a brake booster on eBay. So I gave this one a shot. I have been using it for a few months now and everything seems to be working fine. I noticed that it makes a sound as if some rubber was flapping around or something. That may go away as it brakes in (pun intended). So for that, I will give it a 4 star. 12/27/24 I will update this review if anything changes...
