Love my Rev-A-Shelf!
When we remodeled our kitchen recently we ended up with 6" of extra space beside a cabinet. Rather than just put a board across it to cover the space, we utilized the space with this pull-out shelf. It's awesome! It's a spice shelf, so that's what I use it for. I put my most-used spices on the bottom shelf. The shelves are adjustable. Very handy. Durable, very nice quality, and it looks nice. My husband installed it and did have to add a spacer at the bottom to lift it a bit to get it to fit in our space, but no big deal. No problems with installation. All hardware is included. Keep in mind that you will still need to add a front to this shelf that matches your other cabinets. My husband made ours--he's very handy. The second photo shows how it looks closed.

A Masterclass in Vertical Space Optimization: Engineered Excellence for Kitchen Workflow
n cabinetry design, the narrow, often-wasted vertical slots present a significant spatial challenge; they become functional voids rather than usable storage. The Rev-A-Shelf 5" Pull Out Organizer is a brilliantly engineered solution that transforms this typically dormant space into an accessible, high-efficiency inventory system. The structural composition—a harmonious blend of robust wood components and heavy-duty chrome gliding hardware—is where the product earns its premium rating. The soft-close, full-extension slide mechanism operates with a liquid smoothness that speaks to high tolerances and superior manufacturing quality. There is no wobble or binding, even when the shelves are fully loaded with dense items like cans or spice bottles. This operational reliability is paramount for a frequently used kitchen fixture. The 5-inch width is its defining feature. By precisely utilizing what is often the dead space flanking a range or refrigerator, it provides bespoke storage capacity where none existed. The adjustable shelf placement further enhances its utility, allowing the user to precisely calibrate the vertical separation to accommodate varied inventory, from tall oils to short spice jars. This level of customization maximizes every cubic inch of accessible volume. Installation, while demanding careful measurement and alignment (as expected for precise cabinet hardware), is facilitated by clear instructions and quality mounting components. The final result dramatically enhances kitchen workflow, allowing for ergonomic, single-motion retrieval of frequently used items. This organizer is a highly recommended investment for anyone committed to maximizing the functional efficiency and structural beauty of their kitchen millwork.

Very happy
Showing these compared to what I replaced. All of the cabinets were custom and the builder didn’t finish my spice racks. They built the blue horrible ones and moved on. I replaced them with these and I’m much happier. Increased storage, accessible from both sides, slide well, fairly easy install. I actually attached my cabinet faces directly to the shelves by removing the provided attachment hardware, drilling some small holes, and attaching directly. One review mentioned no adjustments and while true I figured out that one of my cabinet bottoms was uneven and used some small washers as shims to make sure it was level. Cabinet doors close flush, very happy.

High Quality
I was looking for an organizer that would fit into some customized cabinets and these were the closest to fitting. Once I got them I had to cut them down to actually fit the cabinets. I had to cut 2 1/2" off the top to make it fit. The nice part was, the construction of the pull out allowed me to do so. Now, I'll say, the "average" DIYer, probably would NOT be able to do what I did....I'm a bit more advanced in my experienced than the "average" woodworker. I am also impressed with the sliding mechanism. Never would have thought about using three slides that way they did, but it works great. It's smooth running in and out. If there is a con, it would have to be in the adjustable pin holes drilled in the sides of the organizer. They utilize 5mm pins, but the holes are so tight, that in order to pull the pins to adjust the shelves I had to use quite a bit of force with vice grips to pull them out, or to push them in......not a huge deal, unless you change positions often.

Gorgeous. Extremely sturdy.
Extremely well built shelf unit. A little on the pricey side, perhaps, but the construction is not cheap. It looks like it will last a lifetime. Instructions for installation are very basic..... But once understood, screwing it into the cabinet is pretty straightforward - not a lot of options to how it can be done with a narrow cabinet. The wooden shelving unit and metal rollers are so well constructed, I did not detract overall stars, but I will point out that the sizing of the plastic guide parts meant I had to modify them - carefully file them down some - to get the install right. The small ones were too thin and the thicker ones were too thick.

Works!
At first the door was a little crooked. My husband took it off and re-mounted the cabinet door and now it shuts fine. This shelf does not come with screws. We found the instructions to be a little vague and short. Like with the pullout baking tray organizer, the slow-close doesn't seem to happen. It closes more smoothly than the baking tray pullout, but still more like a regular drawer (no slow close action). After cleaning out some expired jars of spices I was able to fit everything in this shelf. We added the top chrome bars and it works fine for larger jars (we have tall cabinets). Overall I'm happy with this shelf. We have it in an upper cabinet because people I spoke to said having it in a lower cabinet is a pain because you have to bend way down to reach everything. I'm short so I have to use a stepstool to reach the top 2 or 3 shelves on this, but no bending so I guess it's best. Note - our baking tray pullout is in a lower cabinet but since the trays are vertical, I do not have to bend to reach. Just something to consider if you're deciding what your layout will be.

Wobbles and door is misaligned after installing unit
This unit is horrible. My cabinets were professionally installed. I installed the unit and have done a lot of DIY projects over the years with success. The instructions are so bad an it’s just a bad quality photocopy so you can’t even see the pictures. I’ve wasted hours searching YouTube videos to make sense of what the “instructions” said. Finally got it installed just to have another disappointment. First, no open or soft close... you can hear the unit open/close for sure. Then, the unit is unstable so when you open it, it wobbles and whatever you have stored will wobble with it. The last thing that made me decide to return the product is that since there’s no guide or support on the top of the unit, the top and bottom of the door does not align... top has huge gap between the box and the door while the bottom part is as it should be. There’s no adjustment to correct that other than using shimming... but why pay for such an expensive unit when you have to do fixes to compensate for a poor design that will not operate properly (wobble) anyway?

Doesn’t pull out far enough
installation kind of sucked on this. It isn’t hard in theory, but I had a few problems 1) the thing is not level and needed shims, which I didn’t realize until after I had it installed and could see that the top of the door was hanging out from the rest of the cabinets. 2) installing the cabinet door after the base is in place is very hard because the contraption does not pull out far enough to let a drill fit between the door and the cabinet frame. You should probably install the door first, but that adds some of its own complications. In the end, my big complaint is that it does not pull out far enough. I believe my device is installed correctly and not defective (aside from the fact that it is definitely not “soft-close”) but given that you have a cabinet door attached to the front, you really want this thing to extend out well beyond its base, so you don’t have to lean over the cabinet to see what’s inside or contort your hands to grab what you want from inside. But, it does not. The back of the rack will be flush with the front of the cabinet if you’re lucky and your cabinet doesn’t have a frame you have to maneuver around, and thats just not as far as I think it should go. All that said, after installation I questioned whether this complaint was worthy of reverting back to shelves in this cabinet and decided this was better than nothing (that, and now there would be a bunch of visible holes in my cabinet/door). So in a nutshell: probably better than nothing, but not great.

Great product, very well made and just what I ...
Great product, very well made and just what I needed. I can't wait my husband to replace the large filler, that we have, with my new pull out cabinet! We received the package 1 day before the estimated delivery time. I am very happy with my purchase, thank you! B.

Make sure you have the template for base!
I would have given five stars but the Wood Wall Cabinet didn't have the template for the base which makes it harder for a regular homeowner to install. Never thought to check YouTube until after we had already installed it but now we will have to uninstall it and do it over again. Buyer beware

Perfect for serger thread in sewing cabinet
Bought this for my sewing cabinet to hold serger thread and its perfect Each shelf holds 5 rows of 4 serger threads (20 per shelf) Because its in a sewing cabinet rather than a cabinet I only have about 3" clearance. It holds my specialty threads. Perfect my purpose.
