How does the mute button work? Is it a physical button that can be clicked? How can you tell when is muted or not?

You simply press the button on the control knob. The light ring will turn solid red letting you know you are muted. When you press it again the ring changes to multi colors letting you know you are live again.

can the mic disconnect from it's stand?

It can. I didn't even think to try!! But it can. Just unscrew it like I did. Hope that helps you!

Is it compatible with a capture card?

This USB gaming microphone is not compatible with a capture card.You can plug the mic into pc or laptop for recording,podcasting and streaming.

Is this mic good for making asmr videos?

It can do a proper job for vocal recording. But if you're at a higher level, perhaps you can check out some videos on YouTube to see how they works out.
