Never tried a live translator before. The capability of these is great. The setup and pairing was very simple. I like the overall style of the earbuds and the case. I have conversations in Spanish every day, but I’m still learning and often the sentences are too fast for me to understand. I took them to Colombia and they did reasonably well. Once in a while the translation comes out a bit crazy, but it’s not the fault of the earbuds. Obviously background noise and clarity will have an impact on accuracy sometimes. I appreciate how the app has options to choose for which region of Spanish I’m using. The customer service is also great. I contacted them for help when I was unable to redeem the card included as credits for downloading the offline translation packs. They replied within the hour and fixed the issue immediately. I would say they can be fairly useful to a degree in the right environment, but a couple issues I had: if there is nothing being said, they will take random breathing or other noises and translate it to “yeah, .. yeah” repeating in your ear, sounding like a couple of robots attempting procreation. Inaccuracies are sometimes crazy enough to potentially cause a serious misunderstanding if you don’t realize it. Sometimes they just stop picking up any audio at all. Overall, they helped a bit, but I ended up putting them away.

I recommend buying the same brand but in black that comes with accessories, there are two types that they offer, this one really resulted in inconsistencies, I had to put them in their case and reconnect them several times in an hour because it would disconnect, it doesn't come with an accessory and it would fall out of my hands. ears many times lost the signal or even because there was some wind it stopped working. the volume too low. many say this is bad and others say it's perfect, I'll tell you. We both purchased the white Timekettle WT2 Edge/W3 translator and the black one with the Timekettle accessory package. Black is the good one, white is a waste of money, buy the one that is a little more expensive in black, that is the best, without a doubt it is the black one, the translation is correct quickly, you do not need to keep the cell phone with the screen open, You just plug it in and that's it. It has no signal interruptions and the headphones come with accessories so that they do not fall out of the ear. It is clear and can be heard clearly, sometimes I thought it was very loud and other people could notice it but that was not the case. It also lasts for many hours activated. I love it. Now compared to white, which is cheaper. It's really inferior. Says inconsistencies when translating. You have to plug it in every 10 minutes because it is difficult to put it in and take it out every time. It's really annoying, it doesn't come with in-ear accessories, you should buy it. It sounds slow... so you know, if you want something really good, buy the one that comes in the black Timekettle accessory package. Timekettle WT2 Edge/W3 Translator. I tried it at work and it worked great. You don't have to press it every time you want to talk, just turn it on and live happily. Buy it!!!

I have used these earbuds for over a year now, I am an English speaking student in a Spanish speaking school in Panama, and have found these earbuds absolutely brilliant. without them I would not have passed the year. they are easy to use and comfortable for all day use and allow me to interact in classes with teachers and other student, I highly recommend them.

It comes with a card that has credits ti download a language to use offline. You can purchase more points ti download more languages but that is for offline use. Online use has all the languages and works fine (pretty close to what is said then being literal translation). Now let’s go over issues that I have faced. 1. Does not live translate in ear as described or implied. 2. Disconnects often (Bluetooth disconnects) 3. Have to connect through time kettle app for translation to work. 4. How to use different modes is not very clear. Three modes, listener mode, speaker mode and touch mode. Touch mode works as any translation app you press the button, speak and app translates. Listener mode and speaker mode also requires the app to be open and it transcribes / voice translate but to listen you have to play that audio. In short live communication translation doesn’t work directly in ear. Serves purpose but not as portrayed in different ads seen online.

They fit well in large and medium ear canals. Fairly easy to use. Great value for the money. Average battery life, like other ear pod types. Quality seemed decent. Downside- is that the program wanted to add its own text, left out curse words, and was having a difficult time with some slang terms. My husband speaks about 5-6 languages that I don’t speak. It was fun to hear him talk and to listen to the translation in English. The phone interpreted what I said into the language he was speaking while the earbuds spoke the language he was using in English. You’re supposed to be able to split the earbuds up between two people, I believe, but we never figured that out. Anyhow, it was fun. We used the speaker of the phone at about a 3’ distance. It caught most of what was said, but I might suggest using at closer proximity.

This product can be great probabaly in a decades time, but currently it’s not able to do what they advertise it to do. It’s really not efficient, and after testing it with the languages that I speak it does not translate properly, it only sorta gets the message across. I purchased this for listening in to conversations that occurs in my car between my employees because they speak Spanish and I don’t, it’s not able to translate fast enough, Translates certain words and takes too long to catch up with them so the app crashes or just skips thru. So don’t buy if you are going to listen into a conversation, it’s doesn’t work for that purpose. And for translating between me and another person, it works but so does Google translation app without the need to put on headphone or give your headphone to a stranger. It’s not practical, and therefore defeats the purpose of this product.

This is a great tool for communication. There was a small learning curve but once I explored all the features and options it was east to figure out. Fairly intuitive programming and with a little trial and error I was ready to talk with anyone! They have three modes: the listen mode is best if you are primarily listening, like in class, at a lecture, etc-not having a back and forth conversation. The speaker mode would be for the opposite- if you are the one explaining something without taking any breaks or questions. The touch mode was my favorite and what I think most will probably use- it’s for conversations between two people primarily, although more could join in the speaking, not necessarily the hearing since there are only two earbuds. The text shows in the corresponding languages used on the phone as well so it can be heard and read by both parties. This was a nice touch that I wasn’t expecting. I’m traveling more and can’t wait to use these to communicate better than ever before!
