I literally couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve read this book! First time was in 7th grade English class and I was instantly hooked. Such a beautifully written tale of triumph, tragedy, and overcoming odds. No matter how many times I read this, those last three chapters always choke me up! And the 50th anniversary edition is not only beautiful but has copies of letters to and from her first publisher and agent, notes from actors in th film, and photos from Hinton’s collection.
