Would this work with flushing out thankless waterheaters for 30 mins?

not with out changing out battery . it well go about 20 min per battery. I use it to drain 40 gal hot water heaters

Can this pump handle silt or dirty water. I do excavation and need something to drain puddles and tire tracks.

I would limit the dirt as it will score the inside of the housing. Zuwa, I think it is made in Germany makes a flexible impeller pump that can handle fairly large solids.

Can you pump chemicals through it?

With this pump I would not pump chemicals due to the rubber impler and the void of the warranty.....i have run antifreeze through one of my pump and no issues as of yet but I do run clean water through it afterwards for several minutes.
