Well, let me start by saying I didnt order these for working out! We have a 11 yr old lab with arthitis and jumping up and down off the couch and bed are proving to be more difficult as she gets older. We have wood floors in one area, and carpet in the other. We thought she needed a little "boost" to help her on/off of things and these being 1 inch thick was a big bonus! They do have some give but not a lot so she'll feel stable. So, they arrived just now, I hooked 2 together and then 2 more to make a square. I put it in front of the love seat and she immediately hopped up on it with very little problem! My husband looked at me and said "Worth EVERY penny!!!!"... .Now, I have a LOT more of these and will go place them around the bottom of our bed so she wont have to hit the hard floors when jumping down. These mat pieces are large, 24 inches, and they are textured which is nice for traction! They press together very nicely where you barely see the seam. I'm completely impressed. For our purpose these are PERFECT. And to be honest, they'd be GREAT for yoga, working out, kids area, etc. The shipping was so fast when we got the notification we had a package, I was shocked it was these!! I received my exercise mat today and I just had to review this amazing product. I just finished setting it up as a "Bedside Workout Area". Every morning when I wake up from bed, my first steps are going to be on this mat. I was worried at first, since some of the reviewers stated they received pieces that didn't fit together, but they must have not took the time to re-arrange to borders, because my 6 tiles and the border pieces all fit together perfectly; like a perfect puzzle piece. This product looks exactly like the item in the photo and it comes with two extra border pieces in case you want to do an L-shape in the corner of a wall or something. The material is very durable, I got black color and 3/4" thick and it's thick and tough yet provides good cushion, I love doing my warm-up jumping jacks on this mat. It doesn't skid around like those low quality mats, it actually stays in place well. If you're looking for general exercise mat, this product is very great quality, and the price is very reasonable. I am definitely buying another set for my girlfriend to do her Yoga. I also plan to buy another set for the kitchen to act as an anti-fatigue mat when my girlfriend and I are cooking meals together. These mats serve their purpose and were good enough for what I needed them for. My parents actually have the same ones in their home gym and have had them for about three years with moderate use, and they’ve held up well. They interlock nicely, were extremely easy to put together and are a fair quality. They are not extremely heavy duty, more like a thicker foam, but they are still durable enough for a typical home gym setup. I also appreciated the size, I got the 96sqft coverage .8 thickness it came with 24 squares. I used all 24 to cover my small home gym area. One thing to be mindful of is if you are installing them in an unfinished basement or a new build. I would recommend making sure the floor has been thoroughly swept and mopped first. The mats are black and tend to hold onto dust, so you will notice footprints easily if dust gets tracked onto them.

Used this to cover my cold floor in the laundry room. Worked great for what I wanted. I didn’t realize I ordered such large squares, but it worked out perfect.

We had a set which has lasted us for 5 years now. We use them heavily. Will be purchasing this again when we replace them.

I needed an exercise mat that could be configured so that I could do the type of exercising to music that involves moving side to side and backwards and forward. I also wanted a mat that I could store when not in use. Most importantly, I needed a very thick, dense mat that would reduce impact on my knees and feet. This mat filled all check boxes. It assembles very quickly and easily and stores out of sight behind a loveseat in the box it came in. The thickness and density were all that I hoped for, and I have plenty of room to move to my exercise videos. I was concerned this might be the kind of material that never loses its chemical smell, but this mat only had a faint smell when first taken out of the box that dissipated in little time. I highly recommend this exercise mat.

For those times I don’t feel like driving to the gym, I use a small free-weight set (120 lbs total) and bench in my garage. I was paranoid about dropping the weights and damaging the cement floor so I bought a 24 sq ft package of 1-inch mats in black and they’ve worked great thus far. (The package included six 2 ft x 2 ft mats with twelve thin edge pieces.) I no longer worry about running out of steam at the end of a set of dumbbell presses and letting the weights fall to the floor because the mats do a great job of absorbing the shock. Density-wise these mat are much heftier than I expected based the other reviews. Perhaps those customers bought the 1/2” mats. I can attest that the 1-inch-thick mats are very dense and very sturdy. They probably wouldn’t last more than a few months in a professional gym with hundreds of members stomping on them daily but they are perfect for a home gym set up. And although I haven’t tried, I wouldn’t drop super-heavy weights from over my head to the floor, although that might be fine if you doubled up on the mats to create a 2”-thick surface. NOTE: As you can see from the photos, I set my mats up with a gap for the bench feet. This is to add length for doing dumbbell pullovers. It’s quick and easy to reconfigure the mats into a solid rectangle when needed.

Lo he puesto en la habitación de mi hijo para que se arrastre sin sentir frío y estoy encantada. Es mullido, no resbala, aguanta todos los golpes y además quita el frío de toda la habitación. Una maravilla y por supuesto que seguiré comprando más!

I bought these so I could work out in my garage on the cement floor. I do HIIT workouts and needed something that would give me some cushion, I have suffered from shin splints in the past. I have used these for a while now and I have had no pain in my shins. The tiles lock in really well and there have been no signs of wear after extensive use. This mat has been great and I would highly recommend it. My only small issue is that it tends to slide around a little and I had to put something under it to keep it from sliding on the cement.
