I would recommend for sure
Great product with high quality. I used these to fix an excavator control board. i cobbled it together with a bunch of different parts and these actually have held up for a while now. It's been 3 years now outside it the weather and elements in a 3d printed cover and still works great .

Self latching?: yes, Bi-stable?: NO
This is sold as a bi-stable relay. It is not. It is a regular normally open/closed (NO/NC) relay with a latching circuit. The relay does not hold its state on power loss. It defaults to off. The other odd thing is that the trigger circuit requires a connection and then only changed the relay state when the trigger is disconnected. This would be good for lights but not for the motor drive applications. Back to shopping, I guess.

worked as described but eventually failed
I used these in a motorcycle to convert a momentary button to latched switching for a killswitch application. They both worked as described but both ultimately failed, most likely due to heat and vibration. I could tell they were never intended for that kind of environment when I saw them, so I can't fault the item. They may work in a car, but I wouldn't advise them for a motorcycle.

Once I figured out how to use it, works well, does what I wanted.
This is an excellent little product once you figure out how to get it to work. It turns a momentary signal to a continuous signal. Unfortunately, there is scant documentation, other than in information that the vendor posts on Amazon. For me, at least, this was not enough to understand how it works, and I have no previous experience with relays to fall back on. It took me a few days to figure this out. Please see the attached (crude) diagram I made that explains: - The relay itself needs to receive power. - This power IS NOT transmitted through the relay. It's just to operate the relay's electronics and the actual mechanical switch inside (which you can hear turn on and off when you click the "test" button or use the switch port). - The OTHER END, where your "controlled device" connects to, needs it's own power source. This is the part that confused me, as I (naively) assumed that the 12v power source flowed in from one end, and out the other, and the relay was just acting as a fancy switch. This isn't the case. - The relay does "switch" power on and off - between the (+) and (-) terminals (or technically, the NO and COM terminals) when it's triggered. But these terminals need to be powered independently of the relay's power. Once I realized this, the relay worked perfectly. Hope it works for your needs.

Not Self-Locking
Absolute junk. I ordered SIX of these and none of them click — they aren’t a true latching relay. I only needed three so I ordered extra for spare, unfortunately none of them worked! I missed the return window for two, but returned the other four. Don’t buy these if you are looking for a true latching relay. The product description is very misleading and deceptive.

Latches on or off a SPDT relay with each button press
Worked well. Pushing the button on the circuit board turns the relay on. A second push turns it off. A small 2-wire cable plugs into the connector next to the switch. These wires are connect across the circuit board switch. This lets you use a remote push-button switch to turn the relay on and off. I agree with a previous user who put a 0.1uF capacitor across the push-button switch to minimize switch bounce. I brushed the 2 wires together (to simulate switch contact closure) and the relay would turn on and off rapidly a couple times and then settle to an either on or off state which wasn't predictable. Putting that 0.1uF cap fixed it.

Latching Relay
These particular relay units were recommended to me as a temporary fix for a problem I'm having at work. I need to turn On/Off a couple of different color LEDs to indicated a change in status - problem is, the output of what I am attempting to monitor is a brief closure of a NO contact. This relay board operates on a rage of DC voltages - right now I'm powering it with a 9-volt battery, having connected a 9-volt battery connector to the power input terminal. The two LEDs are connected to the switching relay terminal, and to a different power source. So far this works as needed. Haven't had any issues with the module. My one and only comment/complaint would be that the two terminal blocks on this module are of poor quality - everything else is more than adequate. If I were to end up using these for something permanent rather than temporary - I would replace the terminal bocks - probably just soldering wires in their place. Other than that, I'm happy with my purchase.

They work but it is a real bad company. Expect anything. Missing parts etc. I have to order another due to a missing wire and plug. Try and fit a good brand that will assure you that you will receive what you need. This company is shady
