Internet connection speeds and availability depend on your internet service provider. If your internet service provider does not provide you with the maximum supported speed, you will not experience that maximum speed. Maximum network speeds, if applicable, reflect combined supported speeds across wired and wireless clients. Maximum wireless signal rates are derived from IEEE 802.11 standard. Specifications assume wired Ethernet connection; your experienced speed may vary when connected to an eero device that is configured as a wireless extender. Coverage estimates are based on normal use conditions. Actual range and performance can vary and maximum supported speeds may not be available to all customers due to factors such as local regulations (including power limits), network configuration, interference, connected devices, device usage, building materials and obstructions. Specifications are based on use of a Wi-Fi 6 or later generation client device that supports 160 MHz. For more information about eero performance, visit support.eero.com. Combining eero Pro 6E devices with older generation eero devices on the same network may result in reduced performance across the network. |

These Eero 6E are very good, best I’ve tried yet
I had eero 6 pros already but needed to extend to my garage and a shed. I bought the pack of 3 eero 6E to replace my 6 pros throughout the house and used 2 of the pros for garage and shed. They were easy to install but I did a fresh install and that was a mistake as it created a new network! I then couldn’t get the pros to join the new network until I realised that they were on different networks with the same name! My mistake as I should have asked eero app to replace the old ones rather than add new! However once I realised what the app had done I removed each of the Eeros from the original network then deleted it. Each one took a few minutes to disconnect before the blue light showed but I got there! The pros then readily connected to the new network and voila, I now have internet to the garage and work shed. The network is very stable and very seldom drops out but to be honest I’ve not really seen a major speed change with the 6E units. Maybe if I hardwired them but that would be more hassle than it’s worth. I live in a 1930s bungalow with solid walls and the pack of 3 eeros gives me coverage throughout. I’ve got FTTP and a package that gives me 450/100 and throughout the house get around 200/90 so not worth hardwiring. The great benefit I find is the seamless handover between units when walking around the house, especially when using Wi-Fi calling. Result is everything I wanted. Sure they are expensive but they are very easy to install and operate. Even after a power cut they handle the startup flawlessly, which was one of the issues I had with my old system.

Excellent mesh system, now running six
Brilliant mesh Wi-Fi system. Setup through the app is very straightforward and the coverage is excellent. I’ve gradually added more units and now have six running around the house and everything connects seamlessly. Speeds are fast, the connection is stable, and it handles lots of devices without any issues. One of the best mesh systems I’ve used.

Excellent system with significantly faster speeds that the 6 Pro
I purchased the three router set to try and improve the speed I was getting from a BT Smart Hub 2 with four of their BT Complete WiFi Extension units linked to a 900Mbs fibre to the premises Openreach connection. I also wanted to achieve greater network stability and prevent various devices regularly dropping their WiFi connection. I have a lot of wifi enabled devices - close to 100 which connect to the network including Sky Q boxes, TVs, laptops and PCs, Alexa smart speakers, security cameras and more. I also have a lot of smart home tech that connects via a Philips Hue hub, a Yale Hub and a SmartThings hub. I suspect that the airwaves are rather crowded therefore. The existing BT system is fairly useless. The wired speed into the router is consistently around 950Mbs download and 100Mbs upload and a wired connection to the router replicates this speed pretty well. BTs WiFi technology simply isn’t capable of transmitting anything close to 900Mbs though which makes me wonder why they bundle it with the Smart Hub 2. Very close to the router I might get 350Mbs but typically around the house 150Mbs is standard with sometimes the speed dropping to 50 or less. My main Sky Q box, right beside an extender disc, continually drops its connection and needs to be reset and even when working has a slow speed. This has all changed with the Pro 6E. Before this I tried a Pro 6 eero system but sent it back as the network was more stable but speeds were disappointing. The 6E delivers stability but also speed. Close to the wired router I get around 800Mbs but around the house tend to get 400 to 500Mbs - a dramatic improvement. Surprisingly I don’t see a vast speed difference with the few 6E enabled devices I have compared with older hardware. The kit is expensive but is regularly discounted. It’s still expensive then though. However, BT sell the Complete WiFi discs for around £100 each and, although they provide the router, that would cost £200+. So in reality I had already invested a lot in WiFi infrastructure without the benefits of speeds that FTTP should deliver. I have not experienced any of the issues described concerning Sky Q connectivity. All my Sky boxes are connected, stable, and fast. Nor have I had any problems with setting the system up with BT Broadband. I would have disposed of the BT Smart Hub completely as the eero can be plugged directly into the broadband socket into the house but with BT as an ISP but as I have BTs Digital Voice phone service I have to plug one handset into the BT router. It’s irritating that the BT router can’t be put into bridge mode but I’ve simply disabled the wireless function of the BT box and a Ethernet cable connects the FTTP plug to the BT router and one of the Ethernet ports on that router is connected to an eero. Set up was very easy compared to BT, and a lot easier that a Netgear Mesh system I used to have. It simply works and I hate messing around with WiFi so all is good. I have one significant complaint about the eero system, and that is to maintain reasonable security and full functionality I have to pay £10 a month or £99 annually for the eero+ subscription. I really don’t want to do this and Amazon should make it a lot clearer that a subscription is more or less necessary. Amazon have also discontinued the ‘light’ subscription that I think was £30 a year. Overall though eero works well for me with lots of devices connected and a fairly challenging infrastructure linking everything together. Five stars.

A great device but you need to understand serious potential issues
I have waited 3 weeks to post this review to give the Eero Pro 6e fair use and hopefully a fair review. On the plus side, it is fast, stable and penetrates my 2 storey 2900 square feet home (modern stud wall and external conservatory). I have multiple smart devices and tv platform linked to a broadband supplier router. I also run cat 6 cable to 3 locations in my home including a switch supporting tv and tv box and have lots of devices including smart devices connected through wifi. I replaced 2x 1Gbs Powerline extenders which often dropped out. I have noticed significant improvement pentrating the entire house. I could not get wifi signal in the conservatory previously nor my office at the far side of the house from my router. Websites now load immediately previously taking a few moments to do so. No more dreaded "Dad! The internet has dropped out" from my son playing online games. The downside is significant (at least initially) and this device may be unsuitable for you, it also require some knowledge of router setting changes and a reasonable additional investment. The set up was paintful. Run by an app, it prompts you to set up one devices as the router, and then place the remaining mesh devices in their location to setup. I could not get either of the additional mesh devices to connect initially - informed that they were out of range. However, I (finally) placed them in the same room in line of sight of the router (but not too close as that also stopped them connecting!) and they connected and downloaded the current firmware. I then relocated them to the intended location and they connected without issue (they have not dropped out since). Top tip - consider using your old router's name and password - as this will mean that all devices should connect immediately without needing to change wifi connection and password. A pain if you add up all the devices in a large family home. So it worked fine after this? No. My tv (with broadband supplier set top box) stopped working - all functions worked such as Amazon Video, Netfix, etc except tv guide and live tv. HERE IS THE RUB. Eeero does not support "multi-casting" which such set top boxes rely upon for live tv. There is a solution but it may not work for you so think carely before buying. The solution is to retain your broadband suppliers router but disable its wifi and connect your new Eero as a "bridge" supplying WIFI Pro 6e to WIFI-served devices. Your tv box then connected via cat 6e cable directly from the router (not the Eero device). So if you cannot or do not want to run a cable (especially if your router is in a different room), this is not the device for you. There is also additional expense but not huge. Firstly you will need to replace any slow ethernet cables with at least Cat 6e (or higher number) otherwise the cables will slow your signal (you are only supplied one short Cat 6e cable and that either connects to your router or ONT (explained below). The cable speed is indicated on the cable (older cables are likely marked "Cat 5e" or "Cat 5"). Each mesh device has 2 ethernet outputs: one at 1Gbs and a faster 2.4Gbs output. You should use the 2.Gbs output to connect the primary mesh device to your broadband router, if multicast tv is required or directly to your ONT device (that the little box on your wall where your fibre (light) signal from Openreach is converted back to electrons to wizz down your wire cables) if you do not. Any multi-cast devices must be connected directly to the router via ethernet cable to work. Finally, you need to access the admin page on your router if using the Eero as a bridge to disable wifi (on the router). If replacing it (not requiring multicast), you will need your broadband name and password to connect the Eero directly. This information can be found in your router setting, googling it online or contacting your broadband supplier. Please do not let this put you off, IF this device is right for you but take care, it is an expensive ornament if you need multicasting and cannot run an ethernet cable to your tv. I hope this helps, if so please like.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rock‑Solid Wi‑Fi With Zero Hassle
Rock‑Solid Wi‑Fi With Zero Hassle The eero system has completely transformed my home network. I’m getting fast, consistent speeds (around 800 Mbps) in every room, with no dropouts, dead zones, or random device issues. Setup was effortless, the app is clean and reliable, and the whole system just works without needing constant tweaking. If you want stable, whole‑home Wi‑Fi that never causes stress, eero is absolutely worth it.

Avoid if you have BT fibre. Not at all fit for purpose.
I really wish I’d listened to other reviews here. I’m sure for 90% of cases the Eero Pro 6e router would work fine. However, if you have BT fibre than DO NOT BUY Eero products. Why? BT lines have a habit of not releasing the old MAC address as DHCP lease sticks which means the router will not be detected and will not work. BT will not be able to help you as their frontline support is near useless and not at all technical and the eero app is built for simplicity not for problem solving. The net result is you’re stuck between two suppliers blaming each other while you waste literally hours trying to solve this. This means the router will never work properly unless you can wait a week or so for BT to self correct snd why bother. Eero support was friendly enough but why they cannot adjust a MAC address over the air I do not know. That was the simple fix. The case number for Eero support in case you read this is 01549161. I’ll return the units for a full refund but I don’t recommend these products at all. If they work I’m sure they are great but if your broadband or fibre has any quirks or issues they are a poor choice as they have no configuration flexibility.

Best mesh by far! Great if you have an old house with thick walls
OK, this is 300 quid, buuuut! You get what you pay for. Such a simple setup all through the eeso app and with no hiccoughs at all. The connectivity is robust and makes your home internet go a lot further as your devices are buffering through a mesh (3 routers), rather than a single device. I am connected to BT, and again, zero issues. The subscription service does offer a few handy tools/options which you may want to consider if you have kids and really want to screw down their internet access; however, in a house full of adults, the additional services really don’t offer any benefits, so save your cash. I’m super impressed. Our internet was constantly disconnecting and dropping out with black spots all over our house (its a 1600th century cottage with 3ft thick cobs walls) and have now eradicated all the black spots and have full coverage in all rooms with the 3 router setup, plus all devices are achieving max download/upload speeds throughout. This is a professional bit of gear at a 3rd of the cost for installing WAPs.

Eero works well in an Apple environment.
Very happy with these - I got two plus a ceiling mounted access point. My issue with my previous TP link system was Apple devices were ‘sticky’ not jumping from AP to AP moving around the house. The Eero devices allow this to happen and suited my existing Ethernet backhaul install. They appear well made and the Eero app works well albeit taking a little while to understand. It’s very easy to use but I could see someone wanted a lot of technical input may feel let down - but I guess this isn’t want Amazon/Eero want. It appears to integrate well with Amazon ecosystem even though this is not something I wish to do. Range is very good and they appear well made.
