Purchased this for my yard feeder works well three different speeds and six different feed schedules will definitely buy again

I have four of the 350 lb Boss Buck feeders in which with the first one, I bought the conversion kit with the timer. Before the warranty period expired on the timer, it quit. There is an address on the back of the timer in which I sent the $10 to the address in Seagoville, Texas. In about 2 weeks the box was returned to me labeled as undeliverable because the address was not occupied. I then attempted to contact Boss Buck to get the timer warranted and in doing so, I learned Boss Buck is one of many companies owned by a company in which I got the "Corporate Run Around" designed to frustrate the customer to eventually give up. Fast forward to May 2026 in which I ordered another conversion kit with the thought I would use the timer until it quit and then I would order "The Timer" as I did before. Well guess what, the Boss Buck timer in my most recent purchase has an impact crack on the face and thus does not light up when attached to a battery. I went ahead and purchased another "The timer" and I am not going to waste my time haggling with a company that has no intention of standing behind their product. Therefore, when purchasing a conversion kit count on it costing you an additional $75.00 for a timer that works.

Works great with solar. Put your kid or dog next to it on test mode with full RPM for a good laugh.

Very easy to convert

Came on time and is way better than expected the feeder is all metal and is very easy to work. Very good quality and well made. I love this thing

I have 8 boss buck 12v feeder units with BB hopper and one universal for 55 gallon drum. Great for corn or soybeans-throws in 20-30 foot circle. Cover eyes when testing or hide behind tree. The only negative is motors do not last a year or two. The design of BB hopper channels rain water to directly on top of feeder and therefore top of box where I suspect some water is seeping in. Either that or just poor quality motors that fail in high humidity conditions. Also note that the motors vary in their spin speed. Some spin freely and extremely fast while your next motor may only be 50-75%. Yes I verified battery and controller by connecting motor to a different unit spinning at maximum speed. I tolerate the poor motor performance because have so many, feed stays dry and slings larger diameter than most other feeders. Buy an extra motor if you live in south Louisiana. BTW- I tried the cheaper Wildgame 12 volt motor replacement and it works just fine but also fails within same time frame. Also, several other club members have BB’s and experience the exact same poor lasting inconsistent motor performance.

I feeder 2 tons of corn every winter and have switched over to this product. These units are super heavy duty with large 12 volt automotive motors. The timers so far have proved to be reliable in the Canadian winter but hopefully will be reliable for years to come. Have also added the Boss Buck solar panel to my feeders so there is always fully charged batteries. . Takes a bit of patience to get the amount of corn I want to dispense but once set up properly you can virtually forget about the feeder.
