I'm looking at this Ear Amplifier with Sound Enhancer and the Hearing Amplifier both by MEDca. whats the difference between them?

A hearing amplifier is just that. For people who hunt or just need to hear distant or subtle sounds that are hard to hear with just the naked ear. A hearing amplifier or aide is for people who just need a little boost in hearing. Probably someone who's hearing is diminishing. A hearing aide is for people who have significant hearing loss in one or both ears.

I recently purchased and there is a high ringing tone at all volumes. Does anyone know how to get rid of this sound?

Just lower the volume until the high ringing tone stops.

The owners guid lists several types. It doesn't list the AG13, but those work. Also, 357, 228, sr44w, SB-89, EXP 76, GP57, WL 14, so5, Renata 7, Times J Radio shack 76, S76, GP 76, G13. they are all the same size and voltage. I don't know about comparative life times.SP35,

It is for a person who has acute hearing loss ?

Works better than my old $1,000 name brand hearing aid at a reasonable price ( IMHO ). Recommend
