Wouxun KG-905G Plus Professional GMRS Two Way Radio with USB-C Charging + Bluetooth

It’s very easy to use and already programmed and ready right out of the box I don’t need the programming cable cause all the channels I need are all in the radio If you need to put the tones in the radio for Ctcss or Dcs on a certain channel, just go to the Menu and push the up or down key on the front of the radio , and you can set any of them in the channel you want You can go all through the menu setting you need for what you want on any channel you need to use Their is a lot of different settings in the menu you can use for setting up you channels I have 2 other GMRS handhelds and they program different but this Wouxun is the best handheld I have and it’s very nice and does everything I need and very easy to use for GMRS use I give it 5 stars and works good with no issues and works great Very good product indeed and made very well and a long life battery

I was looking for a good GMRS radio for my wife and I to use as we travel around the country in our RV. I did not want a dual band, tri-band or quad band radio as most of these are not FCC approved. After much research, I decided on the Wouxon 905 and boy was I surprised at the quality. Heavy in the hand, IP rated (although no way to test this) simple, easy to use. On my meter I was measuring slightly more than 5 watts on both radios and the antenna tested out at about 1.2 on SWR. Within minutes I was on a repeater located about 2 miles away and talking to someone at 28 miles. My wife and I ran a test on a bike trail and we were able to talk to each other at 3 miles through dense trees. My only complaint would be the PTT (push to talk) is a bit sensitive. Other than that, these have proven to be great radios. I also purchased the optional Nagoya 771 antenna which gives me another 3db of gain! Great pair and highly recommend.

Very solid radio, with a great reputation. A tried and true design, made this purchase a no brainer. I found a group of GMRS users in Spokane, 35 miles away, clear as a bell! I will probably join the club later. They’re talking about a meet up and Barbecue! Alrighty then!

No frills GMRS HT, but does the job. Easy to program channels, good visibility in sunlight. Superhet design gives it a significant advantage over SDR.

The Wouxun 905G is perfect for us. We have two of them. We live in a Wildfire, Flood, Earthquake and potential volcanic action area near Mt Hood. Our community has started a network of GMRS Radios so that we will have contact with each other and potentially HAM + GMRS radio operators in the event of a disaster. The cell tower battery goes out quickly when the power's out, and we need some small comfort in our ability to contact one another and emergency aid. We learned to use it quickly - choose a channel, attach a Nagoya 771G 15" antenna, press the speak button and you're ready to go. We live in the woods through some wide canyons and we had crystal clear reception at 5 miles away without a repeater. Very pleased to not have to learn a whole new way of communication. We will be placing repeaters on antennas at our three fire stations covering 25 miles. The range is significant to our purpose, it was a wise purchase for the money.
