I think this is some sort of in-between product. It says NOT LCD and I think that's correct, but it sits a tiny bit higher than the original OLED screen although the phone still fits into the same case it was in before. The instructions were pretty good considering the price/product, but definitely do your homework at ifixit.com before you attempt. The earpiece and FaceID bracket that has to be removed from the old screen was a bit finicky and without my heat gun I think I would have ripped the ribbon cable that kept it attached. But I set my heat gun at 100 Celsius and warmed the adhesive up and the bracket came out nice and then installed into the new screen. I also had access to a cheap iCopy Plus that I bought on eBay and was able to read the TrueTone data from the old screen and write it to the new screen. The iPhone seems to have TrueTone enabled, so I think that was a success. The adhesive that comes with the product seemed to want to stick to the anti-stick backing more than to the phone bezel, but I got that taken care of. Also forgot to mention that they include this kind of screw diagram thing that is mildly adhesive and that was a VERY nice addition for keeping track of the tiny screws. I'm giving this product 5 stars because for what it is, the included tools were good, the product works, and the instructions were good enough.

It was pretty easy to install and it brought the image back which is why I’m leaving three stars. However, the screen doesn’t work with Face ID. I also had to get a replacement because the touch sensor doesn’t work the first time. My replacement screen randomly darkens like I cut the brightness down, and no, it’s not like when it dims from not being used. I’m unsure as to why it has the issues it does, but I plan on buying another screen that doesn’t have the same issues. EDIT: April 1. I’m updating this as there’s been a change. Because I did still have my initial experience, I will just add this. I reached out to customer service about the issue even after the initial return date had closed. They were great about it and immediately asked me for details then sent a replacement that came in a timely manner. I’m prettt happy with the replacement for the past couple weeks and have not had any recent issues. Unless I do, I’ll be updating this to 5 stars. Thanks Simdog!

This is an update to my previous review of my iPhone 11 screen purchased from SIMDOG back in May of this year: The initial screen sent to me was installed by an Apple Certified Technician and right away had a many problems which required constant reseting of my iPhone. The folks at SIMDOG reached out to me after my review and promised to make it right. My first impression of the product was that it was the poorest quality I had ever used for a replacement screen when in reality what I received was a defective unit. I apologize to the good folks at SIMDOG for being quick to judge based on a single issue. However, after following through on their promise to make things right, I could not be more pleased with the replacement item which works absolutely perfectly, but more importantly the professional attitude and great customer service I received resolving this issue. I will definitely use SIMDOG again when I need to replace a screen on mine or my kids phones. Customer Service means everything in this Online Purchasing World and SIMDOG delivered in a big way in my honest opinion. Great install directions and the process took less than an hour-works perfect!!! This screen is easily the poorest quality aftermarket screen I have ever purchased. I have bought many after market products for mine and my kids iPhones over the years. I don't believe I had a single failure. This product was installed by an Apple Certified Technician who told me not to expect much out of it. He was right. I have to reset my phone multiple times per day to be able to scroll or type or search for contacts. I'm sorry,,,the quality is just not there,,,especially for the price paid!

I purchased this previously and broke it 2 years later. The new one is identical and to me, is as good as the original. The colors are very good and the Face ID works great, unlike some replacement screens on Amazon. Definitely worth the cost verses buying a new phone.

My son needed a new screen for his phone. With so many different choices, I spent some time reading reviews, and decided on this one. The screen arrived on time and the packaging was some of the best I have seen. The screen itself seems exactly like the OEM screen. The install wasn’t too difficult but you should def watch a video or two on YouTube. This kit came with the tools needed to repair. To make installing this easier, you only need to have access to a blow dryer or a heat gun. After I installed, I realized that I missed a step, and it was too late to go back :-/. Make sure to copy the setting of your original screen with the provided chip prior to completing disassembling. Hahah Screen works great. The glass is thick and after after 2 months of hard usage from my teenage son, it is still running strong. Great buy! Don’t hesitate to consider this seller and product.

Screen has great color and depth, install came with everything you needed for screen install with magnet to put your pieces on, so you don't mess them up, (unless you have a defiance disorder and just have to try and outsmart the supplied most efficient way to replace screen) do not try and improve on install. I'm a Bulder and have learned if you follow the instructions, its easy. I was pleasantly surprised that I had achieved the desired result. So, guess I was so happy I had to order a second one after 1 week my phone slid of the bed of my truck at 30 and was ran over. After the second install I began to wonder if I could replace screens on the side for like 50 plus parts, don't have time for it. I will say that for the second screen I went right back to this company's OLED replacement and was not going to gamble with a cheaper version. My only grip was i chose to pay a few extra dollars so my part would arrive in 3days, yet it was shipped standard and could not be install until Sunday. now think about it, screen was absolute shattered it still powered crazy colors but was not usable, short terms I had no operation phone/text/ ability to impulsively by something on Amazon. so, I resorted to heavy drinking to pass the time (just Kidding). that being said, my only gripe was an inconvenience from shipping mix up. Yes, I would recommend the product again and will probably look for a new screen for my partners phone that has 1 crack.

Low quality screen, bad colors and terrible refresh rate. Gets hot very fast too. Price was good so not leaving 1 star.

UPDATE: I brought my concerns to the seller’s customer service and they were able to process a refund for me quickly, so updating my rating here to reflect this good service. However, the item description really does need to be updated still. ———————————————— I knew I was taking a chance with such a cheap display, and to be fair the display does work decently. However, there is some pretty blatant false advertising going on here. First of all, I’m not really convinced this is an OLED screen. When brightness is turned down, contrast is almost non-existent, blacks look like light-grey, and everything looks washed-out. When brightness is all the way up, it actually doesn’t look too bad. Second, 3D Touch does NOT work with this display, despite the item description explicitly saying it does. Third, True Tone does NOT work, despite the item description explicitly saying it does. (Granted I had a strong feeling this one wouldn’t work, as only genuine Apple displays have True Tone) Overall, the screen does work and is a cheap replacement that will get the job done. However, the description really needs to be updated to be honest about what this screen actually provides.

Unfortunately, this is not OLED, but LCD. It maintains high brightness even at night, and it's still very glaring even when I adjust the brightness to the lowest setting. The display quality is decent. The seller shouldn't have labeled it as OLED. Although I think it's worth the price, this is misleading for buyers.

Screen result is good but face id not sported after 3 month stop working very bad.

Screen was De-attached from the Phone Suddenly due to bad Quality and Adhesive compoenents used by the OEM ..this is really a disappointment after 1 month of use !
