Better then Omega One Betta Buffet pellets and as good as New Life Spectrum Betta Formula
Update 10/12/17: I have been feeding this food every other day in combination with another food and my bettas have been very active, colorful, curious, alert, and had no issues of bloat. This food is one of the best, I have done a lot of research trying to find good food for my fishes and here is why this food in my opinion is good. First Omega One Betta Buffet pellets, I read reviews and reviews of others swearing by this food so I took a look at the ingredients the 2 things that were a big red flag is that Omega One food has BHT and BHA preservatives which have been known to promote tumor growth. I have no idea why Omega One is praised so highly I've read so many bad things about these preservatives and rather not risk it. So Omega One was out, then I took a look at New Life Spectrum. Now New Life Spectrum is a good food, one of the best that is until the company decided to change it. The food is no longer the right size for a betta which is the problem, it doesn't matter how good the food is if the fish can't eat it so until this issue is fixed I cannot recommend New Life Spectrum Betta Formula but only the betta formula. Some say to feed live, raw, or frozen but there are several risk that comes with those types of foods like parasites it can also be too rich and unbalanced to use as a daily diet for bettas that are not show or breeders. On top of that it can be more time consuming, expensive, and make a mess causing the tank to become polluted. Remember these are not wild fish these are domesticated so I rather use a pellet type food as a main diet and bloodworms as a once a week treat. Northfin not only has good ingredients compared to others but the size is perfect for any betta even my younger female betta can eat these no problem and she is about a little over an inch long. I've also been feeding this food without soaking and have not had any bloat problems with my fishes. I've had no issues with this food sinking before my bettas can eat it but I feed my bettas with a long stick and gently place the pellets in the water this also train my bettas to follow the stick in case I need to catch them in a cup to remove them from their tanks this way I never need to net them.

Great food for the family pet
When we got our daughter a betta fish for her birthday, he was in pretty bad shape and looked to be on his last leg (daughter wanted to give it a nice home and try to make it better). We tried different foods and brands, but the little guy would barely touch those. After some research and reading recommendations from betta fish sites, this food made it to the top of the list. I ordered it, and the betta fish LOVED the food. He has also made a miraculous comeback. His color came back and it was a bright, vivid blue with red on the tips of his fins, and his fins have now tripled in size from the little stubs they were. This is the only food he will eat. It floats well, doesn't expand much at all when it hits the water, and is a good size pellet. I have recommended this food to a family member who just got two bettas and those bettas love it also. Price may be a little more than other foods, but so far this pack has lasted us quite a few months. It's also good quality so I don't mind the little extra expense. Will continue getting this.

A bit pricy but probably one of the best betta foods out there
My five beautiful adult betta fish go absolutely crazy for this food, they will gobble it up super fast and demand more (but of course they can't have more till next meal time lol)! The pellets are all pretty tiny, and seem to be around the same size (uniformly sized pieces) so could work well for juvenile betta, but might have to feed a few extra pellets for an adult (I feed 6-10 pellets per day to my adult bettas, depending on how rounded/full their betta bellies look). I made the mistake of having bought the crap junk commercial betta foods such as Aqueon brand, and Omega One (yes even that one which has generally good reviews has toxic preserves in it) from Petsmart/Petco, which after some research I discovered is full of horrible fillers and toxic preservatives so I looked for a "cleaner" and higher-quality betta food. Well this seems to be the good stuff without the nasty preserves and fillers except for Wheat Flour, which Bettas probably can't digest, but that's just 1 thing out of the rest of good stuff, and no other betta food brands can really say the same to my knowledge. Only thing is I wish it was in a little plastic food container instead of a pouch, but perhaps the foil pouch is to help keep the food fresh (since it doesn't have the nasty preservatives that other brands use). TOSS/donate your other crap commercial betta foods and GET THIS instead, your betta will love you all the more for it :)

Good quality food at a reasonable price
This is the least expensive Betta food I found that is of an acceptable quality, listing a real animal ingredients in higher proportions to animal meal and other processed foods. My complaint it that it tends to sink quickly, floating for a few moments but far too little to allow the Betta to eat more than a couple pieces. This is a minor issue, I can feed smaller amounts more often and I have a heavily planted tank with filtration capable of maintaining 3 times the tank volume with a single fish that really wouldn't even require a filter at all and it seems that all foods made with better quality than the standard stuff you find in every shop share this quickly sinking quality. For me, the health of the fish is worth the trouble and if you're looking at this product it likely is for you as well.

Betta loves these
I alternate between this and omega one for variety (my fish refuses to eat worms). He loves these! I love the ingredients and the size: not too large, not too small like new life spectrum betta pellets. I have only two cons: 1) Like everyone else mentioned in the reviews, these sink fast. But I only feed one pellet at a time, so it doesn’t quickly sink. Finally, 2) it’s not easy to get the pellet out of the ziplock-like package. I wish these came in a round container like most betta pellets do. Despite the cons, I will continue getting these. The current small package I have will last a while so it’ll be some time before I need a new one.

My fish like it!
I bought this food for my new betta based on comments and reviews on other 'caring for your betta' websites. My betta seems to like it; actually all the other fish in my aquarium seem to like it, too! I like the small size of the pellets; it's good for all sizes of fish; they stay intact for a while instead of falling apart quickly and clouding the water. At first I thought the product was a little pricey, but after seeing just how much is in each pouch and how much my fish enjoy it, I now think it was a great investment, and I'm confident I will buy it again!

Sinkers and floaters
You can smell that this product is a good quality food for the fish, but 50% of the pellets will sink to the bottom in a matter of seconds. Thats my only complaint about this item.

Top rated from beta enthusiast
I’ve had several betas in my time and they would live for maybe a year or 2, almost always dying of bloat gut . We were very careful not to overfeed them , in fact I think We were under feeding them slightly so I didnt Understand what was happening . I looked up some info online and i believe the reason for it was the fillers that were in the food we were using. They DONT need fillers and this can cause bloatgut and death over time . I am Very annoyed that my trusted aquarium shop sold that to us , I was Under the impression that they knew what they were doing. Very sad . Anyway, I researched online and came across this brand as being highly rated for best ingredients . It was only a little more than the one from the shop. My beta seems lively and healthy, making lots of bubbles. So far so good. I’m happy to be providing the best now and won’t make that mistake again.

But it: they like it
My Betas like it! I have bought several different kinds of food and neither of my betas have any interest in any of it? I bought this one with fingers crossed because it had reviews that were good and it was gonna be my last ditch attempt and they actually both like it. I cannot believe it couldn’t be happier!

This really is the best betta food I found to date!!!
I I have tried several different foods for my betta and this seems to be the only food my betta likes he'll pick up other foods but this one he goes wild for!! The results speak for themselves! Plus these actually do float on the surface of the water whereas a lot of others that claim to will not again I've wasted my money on several different brands of food now! And the granule size is just perfect for my adult betta fish!!
