Easy and Safe!
I bought this to use with a Black Hunter Recurve bow. I used it to initially string the bow and it worked perfectly for that. Then, a few weeks later I upgraded bowstrings and I needed to remove the old string and replace it. It made the job quick and easy, and I felt safe and comfortable using this aid. I like that it can be adjusted up and down the limb of the bow to accommodate different length limbs. I’ve only used it twice but it seems to be a quality item and I believe it will last a long time, even with continuous use.

Great Stringer
This is a great stringer. It works like it should and looks like it will last a good long time. Fits great into a small possibles bag and you should have no problem using it to string your bow. This can save you a lot of heartache if you use this to string your traditional bow. Some folks like the step through-it method, but you can seriously damage your bow by giving it a permanent curve where it is not supposed to have one. For the price, get this stringer and keep your bow in great shape.

Worked, but not the best design for my bow
I bought this stringer to put the string on a 68" custom made 46# wooden recurve barebow. A 46# recurve is no joke and I am pretty strong guy, but I could not get it to work. The saddle end kept sliding down toward the riser which made it pretty ineffective at bending the limbs. I was about to give up and send it back until I watched a YT video where the guy used a similar style stringer on a strong-ish recurve. The trick was he used two feet instead of one to hold down the stringer. What that does is allow you to put more pressure directly under the floating saddle to keep it from sliding down toward the riser. Using two feet I was able to keep the saddle closer to the limb tip and while it was still not easy, I was able to string the bow. I suspect over time I will get the technique down and it will get easier. So yeah it worked, but one with a cup on each end would have worked better with this particular bow. While they may sell a lot of these style, it is not the best design in my opinion. It works, but depending on the poundage and length of the bow, there might be better stringers out there.

Excellent Quality Highly Impressed.
So easy and safe to use...Easily remove the recurve bow string to check your limb tension bolts, adjust brace height (thumb pivot of the grip to the string) before you shoot. Adjust your brace height by twisting or untwisting the bow string at one end. Most recurve bows start at 7" from string to thumb pivot on the grip, then go up from the there.

Good product.
Works as shouldn't, nothing fancy or complicated. Great price.

The Right Tool for the Job
My hubby decided after several years to go back to his recurve. This stringer was not available in any of our local stores. He said it is durable, the right size he needed for his bow, it's easy to use (or as easy as can be). He is very satisfied with this purchase.

Doesn't work for my bow
This stringer just doesn't work with my wooden bow. The rubber pad has no traction on the limb and slides way too far toward the riser to provide leverage for stringing.

Doesn’t Work
I doesn’t work. The pouched end slides on nicely, but the sling end has no grip and slide towards the grip when I pull up. Tried several times and even tried holding it in place. Once I lifted my hand to string the bow, it would shoot right back down again. Don’t waste your time and money.

Es facil de usar y de buen material. La parte "anti resbalante" si se resbala, pero con poner tu mano se soluciona. Soy completamente nuevo con los arcos, y lo pude usar sin problemas.
