AP2-CAB Amplug V2 Cab Amp

After using my AP2-AC30 with my headphones for several months, I was on the fence about spending the money on this little cabinet. I’m am so thankful I did! I spent two weeks confined to a hotel room for COVID quarantine and I can’t imagine not having this little setup. There were some negative reviews regarding the sound quality, but I had nothing but excellent tone come from this little speaker. It replicated the tone that I had in my headphones perfectly. I’m sure at peak volume, the sound quality may dive off a little, but in a hotel room, I’m not playing more than 3 or 4 at most anyway. I have nothing but great things to say about this little amp. It comes with a 9v battery, but does not come with an AC adapter.

This is a great personal speaker. With great functionality. Battery powered great for practice. Just plug in a set of audio jacks and enjoy. Or use the speaker great size. And control is very good

Sounds decent and it came in good condition. I’m happy it came with a battery but putting it in was another story. It doesn’t fit so I had to remove the little wires it came with out of the box to get it to work. It’s hard to explain but you’ll understand when you get it. Another thing was that the wires inside can come off the amp which is weird. There’s a ribbon on the back (not sure why) and you need the mini amp plug to get a better experience. Another thing is that it’s huge. It’s bigger than my wallet. I thought it was gonna be small- which it is- but it’s thick. In general, it’s a good amp, it gets the job done.

Feels nice and heavy for its size & made well. It works great with my AC 30 amPlug 2 that plugs in to the top and sets on the top of this speaker like an amp head. Speaker sounds great and gets plenty loud. Happy with my purchase.

Luv it! Perfect for my purposes (playing an electric guitar indoors quietly). I like the way the Amplug2 plugs into the top of the cabinet or use the cabinet by itself if you want too. Really versatile, great sound with or without the Amplug2 plugged in. Even came with a 9 volt battery. Glad I bought it. So are my neighbors! 🙂

Has made practicing so much easier. I don't have to limit myself to one room. I can take this little box anywhere. I also have several of the Amplugs (Clean, Classic Rock) that give it a classic effect. Worth the money and investment. Love playing out on my back porch without lugging an amp through the house.

Ok, this is just fun! I read other reviews dogging this little guy for it’s lack of sound quality. C’mon, really? If you want quality, buy the real Vox! This is just a cool and fun little noise box to joke around with when you need a few minutes to jam. Get one, enjoy it but don’t expect to take on Brian May anytime soon.

The item itself is fine but probably due to the poor packaging the item got damaged inside the box. I had to open the amp up and fix it.

I was surprised by the sounds I got from this little amp. Great for practicing.

The speaker peaks way to early. It is unusable unless set at low volumes.
