Great optic from a great company.
Mounted this on a small rifle and it has held zero perfectly over a few hundred rounds. It is easy to aquire the dot and have really enjoyed this budget friendly optic. Like this companies quality.

Good Quality, Excellent Weight, Reasonable Price
I have had this red dot for about two years now. I bought it here on Amazon. I had a need for a lightweight, decent quality and affordable optic. This is a good one. I have an astigmatism in both eyes, so I see the red dot and a bit of a snowflake effect. This defect of the eyes has not stopped proper operation of the AT3 optic. I can still hit on target at various ranges. Funny enough... if you turn down the brightness on the optic, the effect of the astigmatism decreases. Myself and my mother have it, but my father and two sisters do not. I could not detect any parallax, being trained years ago at my job to spot it. If you look at the optic and shake your head left and right somewhat quickly, that red dot would dance around if there was severe parallax. The dot remains on the target as I bring my eyes up to it. I can't really say what brightness I use it at- I dial it in if I have time to about what feels comfortable for my eye. One feature I really like is that I can "half turn" the brightness dial to turn the optic off, then repeat the process to get the desired number intensity that I want. I use the bikini covers when I can, but not often. I've misplaced one of the turret caps, but that is my fault. That turret has held up just fine. After purchasing the optic, I noticed that the sales description did not state whether the optic would take the recoil from a 12 gauge shotgun. I got a fast response from the company: "Yes, it will take the recoil of a 12-gauge". So on the shotgun it goes! I have not noticed a loss of zero, even on a Keltec Sub 2000. I have a second unit for another long gun and would consider this affordable option for future needs. I happen to like these tubed, 20mm to 25mm red dots.

Nice simple red dot
I picked this optic up recently for an airsoft AKS-74U I was working on and I am pretty pleased with it. The brightness knob is a bit stiff but has very good range: unlike others I've owned you actually get some 'dim' options here rather than just 'bright' to 'blindingly bright' - this makes it great for use indoors or in dark environments! The lens coating is fantastic, cuts reflections but does not 'dim' your view to much - again, for indoors and dim environments, that makes this is an outstanding option. There is the unfortunate 'blob' at ~5 o'clock on the back lens as other's have noted: this is where the LED emitter is installed and the factory glues them in place for added strength/stability/shock-resistance - with the unfortunate side effect of an unsightly blob that sits on the lower edge of your vision. After using the optic for more than 15 minutes, I stopped noticing it - it's not an issue. The adjustment dials have very nice detents although it would have been neat if the caps had a little raised ridge on the top so they could be used to make adjustments in the field without requiring a separate tool. Overall I've like to give the optic a 4.5 - it's really nice in a lot of ways, but it's also an old design and as such is lacks some nice-to-have features that appear on similarly priced modern designs. But the outstanding lens coating and intensity adjustment nudge it up a notch in my opinion, it's a keeper!

Great Value
This seems to be a very good piece of kit. It's clarity is very good, the dot is as good as my aged eyes could make it work. Holds zero well. I was able to punch a .43" 3 shot group at 50 yards. Considering the dot is 1" at 50 yards, I thought that proved it's worth. On the NEGATIVE side.... The adjustments are not as positive as I would prefer, it was easy to get an extra click by accident. Also negative, unlike an Aimpoint or Eotech the red dot glow is visible from the FRONT, bad JuJu from a "tactical" standpoint, even though I probably would spend more money on an optic if I was banking my life on it. Don't forget the 5/8" riser you'll need it on your AR to co-witness the iron sights! OVERALL- This thing beats anything else in it's price range that I've looked at.

Great, once you have it on right
I picked up a Henry Homesteader, and a lot of the reviews suggested adding an optic like a red dot. Once I figured out how to install it (I had it on backwards.) Once set, it works great! Target acquisition is a lot faster and easier. The glass quality and dot quality work well to give you a clear picture of your target. It was also easy to install and adjust (once I had it on the right way!)

Good luck on this product.
Opened box installed battery. Brightness turret won’t move. Can’t turn unit on. Decided to send it back. Was exited to get this sight. Now feeling defeated.

Great 2 MOA red dot sight for the money.
By looking at the picture, I initially though the red dot sight maker just replace the LED with a smaller one on the Bushnell sight and sell it under a new name. I was wrong. After receiving the RD-50, I have found that they are different. The RD-50 is about 15 to 20% smaller, lighter and better built than the TRS-25. It does copy the successful style and features of TRS-25 but it looks more refine. The LED is at the same place but it's much smaller and installed without showing the glue. The optic is clear and without distortion. It's not 1:1 glass but rather be a 1:1.3 (estimated) optic. This helps me see the target much more detail with my 58 year old eyes. I read some complaints about the fussy or the 3 MOA dot, but the reviewers did not know how to use or how to test it. Here these are my secrets: - To overcome my old eyes, I make a peep sight (a black tape with a tiny hole) and stick it on my shooting glass. This help me to focus better both the dot and the target. Try to focus at the dot not the target when you aim; this will improve your accuracy. - To see the true size of the dot, put a white paper under a bright light then aim the dot on the white. This will decrease the contrast and the dot will appear sharper and smaller. Red dot on black target is the worst on my book. I have 3 TRS-25 (and still love them) both with gold and white letter marking. The dot on the RD-50 is seen smaller than the 3 MOA dot on the Bushnell so I have to believe that it's 2 MOA. I don't have an Aimpoint or a Primary Arms red dot sight so I don't really know how good they really are against the RD-50. However, I have found that the RD-50 meets all of my requirements (all of those from the TRS-25 but with a 2 MOA dot so I can aim at the 2 inches target at 25 yard better.) the 50K hrs battery life is a bonus. As a sport shooter I don't need super duper optics that can survive the battlefield but cost a fortune. I have all the time in the world to replace a broken gun sight. For another bonus, AT3 gives us a lifetime warranty on the RD-50. I recommend the AT3 RD-50 red dot sight. It is a great improvement over the Bushnell TRS-25 period.

Nice red dot for the budget minded shooter
I bought this red dot sight for one of my AK rifles after reading many reviews and comparisons. Originally I was going to get a Primary Arms red dot, but opted for the AT-3 instead. What sold me was the reviews and price. While I am sure there are many other options which may be better, for my money, this works for me. The sight itself feels solid and "substantial". By that I don't mean it's heavy. It just doesn't feel like it's plastic and will fall apart after a few trips to the range. It came packaged safely in a foam lined box along with zeroing instructions, an Allen wrench, cloth to clean the glass, a battery and an explanation on how astigmatism may affect how one sees the actual dot. I have astigmatism in my right eye and I wear contacts or glasses and have not, personally, had any issues with this sight. I can't say that other people will not have a problem. After putting the battery in, I turned it on to the first of its eleven brightness settings. I find that for me, seven is as high as I want to go. Eight through eleven is too bright for me and my eye percieves this as a "starburst" rather than a dot. Although I think that on a large target or one that is close to the shooter, this wouldn't affect most people. The brightness knob is tight but that is a good thing in my opinion. It is still easy enough to turn. My only gripe would be that the battery cover is screwed into the brightness knob and one could accidentally loosen the battery cover while changing the brightness of the dot. I did not have a problem however. There are two turrets as well with screw on caps. One for windage, one for elevation. Adjustments are easy to make and I was within the bullseye in six shots. After that, I had some fun shooting the rest of my cheap Russian ammo at the target. I am happy with this sight and it is my first red dot sight. Prior to this I have had no experience with this type of optic. I do have a reflex sight on my AR, which is very similar. I am also pleased with the quality for the money and ease of use and adjustment of this optic. I can recommend this to budget conscious shooters and I hope my review has helped someone in making their decision.
