In terms of branding, the Sonicakes has been around for a while and whilst this is my first purchase from the company I am very impressed. The set of 3 cables work perfectly, patching different pedals together. The connectivity and length is great, I have been trying to get the pedals set up how I want so have been plugging/unplugging the cables and moving things around. They remain durable and continue to function perfectly. The cables do look good, I like the plain black for patching. Guitar pedals themselves tend to come in a myriad of colours anyway so I don’t want something looking too busy.

These work perfectly; the only thing I’d add is that the cable isn’t round, it’s flat, so can sometimes twist awkwardly if the output from one pedal is differently positioned to the input on the next (ie side output to top input). Other than that these seem high quality and sound fine to me.

There’s a lot of snobbery and pretentiousness in music, especially when it comes to reviewing gear. I don’t like that. As guitarists we all know what gear we like and what sound we want or aspire to. Enjoy whatever noise you make with whatever gear you can afford (being realistic). So, I use these on a pedal board and for channel jumping on my amp head. They work great. Good length, quality and price. Sonicake are good brand which some people are dismissive of because of their reasonable prices. That’s absolute nonsense.

On stage last night, in front of 23 adoring fans, I found myself suddenly under attack from a giant moth. And when I say, 'giant,' I mean, giant. It had a wingspan of approximately 78.368cm! Obviously, it had teeth and claws proportionate to its wingspan. At the end of my solo, I quickly whipped these cables off my pedal-board and tied them into a rudimentary catapult, fashioned out of the triangle which our drummer has inexplicably hanging from her mic stand. Although not at all elastic, these patch cables made a splendid weapon, but sadly I was unable to find a pebble the right size in time to save the life of our lead singer, who was tragically gored to death. I dashed over to the bar and grabbed a handful of ice cubes which melted sufficiently to form a groove into which I slipped the patch cable until, with a deft flick of the wrist, I let loose a volley of moth-deterring frozen water. Five stars from me, but sadly, only one from our late lead singer.

These patch leads met my need to create enough space on my pedalboard for another Boss pedal. The flat design is much less bulky than my previous patch leads. So far so good - they sound as good as the previous ones but obviously I don’t yet know about their durability. They do feel robust enough though and I tend to leave my pedal board alone once it is set so they aren’t going to get yanked around. I’d buy them again - good value.

Excellent cable, good quality built, sturdy, space saving and looking great. Use it on my main pedal board, no noise, no sound side effect. Not to much expensive. Go ahead!
