Great Little Air Pump – Highly Recommended This is a great little air pump and I’m very impressed with it. It’s compact, easy to use, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. One of the best features is how quiet it is — it runs very smoothly and is far more silent than I expected. Overall, it’s excellent value for money and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, quiet air pump.

Quite an impressive little pump and very quiet. works fine in my nano shrimp tank. Dropped a star as the airflow isn't as high as the description would have you believe and similar, albeit noisier, comparable pumps using different technology so would be cautious if you need it for anything other than smaller low flow applications. For me in the nano tank I always used to bleed away excess air so this is ideal with the reduced flow. Be interesting to see how durable it is seeing how some of the Tetra pumps have lasted forever, but this is definitely quieter than those and also seems to be easier to totally eliminate all noise if you further soundproof it something I never managed with the Tetra's

After keeping tropicals previously, I decided to install a new aquarium, and one of the biggest problems has always been the noise from the air flow pump. Not only are they usually quite large, they also tend to hum away like a tractor driving you mad and defeating the object of peaceful fish keeping. Not with this one. Super happy with this purchase, it's small and mighty! Easy to set up just plug and go. When I first plugged it in, I thought "uh oh faulty" as there's literally zero sound or vibration from the unit itself. It's only when the air stone is submerged that you see it kick in! Perfect strong air flow, masses of bubbles, fish lively and loving the new addition. I'd say it rivals, if not beats the more expensive on the market. It's supplied with plenty of tubing so you can hide the air stone behind live plants and decor, and the slimline unit itself is tiny and sits perfectly with the suction cup to the outside of the aquarium allowing for cables to be kept tidy and hidden. In use, the only sound is the strong but gentle flow of bubbles which is both relaxing but most importantly not disruptive as the aquarium is in the bedroom. 100% worth the price and would buy again without hesitation!

Tried many traditional diaphragm air pumps in the past and they are all noisy, regardless of brand. Thought I’d try a piezoelectric air pump this time as I only need it to supply a single air stone overnight when my CO2 is off. Firstly, It’s very small! The pump is tiny and looks like it’s designed to fit to the outside of the aquarium. I avoided this because although it’s small it must produce some vibration so have located it under my aquarium. Secondly, It’s also very quiet! It’s on a different world to traditional air pumps and I cannot hear it over the noise of my filter and it’s actually quieter than the air bubbles it produces! Overall fantastic piece of kit and although I didn’t use the supplied accessories they will be useful for those just starting out. NICREW should advertise this based on the amount of air stones it can power rather than aquarium size, as this works absolutely fine in my 240L aquarium. The ‘40-80L’ in the title put me off at first - it’s misleading and pointless unless this is purely to power an internal air powered foam filter.

Have bought a couple of these . One for my fish tank and one for grandsons. Very quiet which is good . Works very well . Value for money . Easy to fit up and bubbles well.
