Best. By far.
Living in an area where there is essentially nothing you can do to deter mice, not even multiple cats, I have had to learn quickly what works and what doesn't. Our first invasion, we used live traps. These worked well at first, but eventually the mice got wise and they no longer helped. Traditional traps actually scare me - I got my finger once when I was a young child and that fear never went away. We set those up, but half the time the bait would go missing without setting the trap off, and once the trap needed to be reset it would have to wait for someone else not me to reset it. Add to that having to avoid putting them in areas where pets might set them off, and they are useless. We tried this type, and quickly - within days - got the infestation situation under control. Baited with either bread or peanut butter, these work 99.9% of the time they are investigated, but the cover of the bait well keeps larger pets from getting to the bait and setting it off. The setting of the trap is easy and intuitive, with far less risk of having fingers get caught, so I myself am able to reset any trap quickly, and without fear. This allows us to put these traps anywhere, without regard to pets' reach. (We have a terrier though that has learned what the sound of the trap snapping means and will dart to the trap and try to take off with the mouse. It is rather funny watching, and seeing him with a mouse hanging out of his mouth and a trap hanging off the mouse is both hilarious and disturbing. But it speaks volumes about how securely this trap holds the mouse... no escape!) When a new wave of mice showed up recently, we couldn't find the traps like this from the previous wave (probably the terriers fault?) So we ordered more. 13 mice in 2 days, and we have seen no mice or new evidence of them since. This time we are keeping the traps out and baited BEFORE another comes in and breeds. Will never use another type of trap again if I can continue finding these. Local stores stopped carrying them, so thanks amazon!

Great trap
OK, here we go. I’m one of them guys that really rarely leave reviews, but I came all the way back in here right now just to leave a review on this product. I hate mouse traps. I hate the fear of them going off on your hands although though they don’t really hurt you, they’re not that powerful but they just scare me lol this is a game changer so simple to load and unload and it’s very very effective. I just wanted to let people know that this really does work and it’s a lot easier to unload and to load than a regular mousetrap. You just pull it up and it sticks. You don’t have to try to set it. It just catches. It goes off very easily by the mouse, only by them lifting the little area where the bait goes. Great product…

MIssing Mousetrap in the House!!!
This product sends you six mousetraps, and you will not need one because they do not work as advertised, "humane kill." These traps do not kill at all. I ordered these in July after noticing a few droppings on the kitchen counter. I used it as instructed, placing peanut butter in the receptacle. The next morning, the mousetrap was gone, but I heard some clatter in the dining room. Luckily, I have wooden floors. The mouse was in the trap, still alive and had flipped out of the kitchen, down the hallway into the next room- the dining room! I needed to release the injured mouse into the woods behind my house. Now we are in the month of August. I see there are droppings in the kitchen and I decide to give it another try. I thought the previous issue with the trap was a quirk. This morning, August 20, 2025 I woke up to a similar scenario. The mousetrap is gone. I cannot find the trap or the mouse. I did a cursory look in every room. We have a 3000 square foot home. I did not find the trap. Now I have to spend my day looking under furniture, near walls, and who knows where else to find the trap. This is a waste of my time, it's inhumane to the mouse, and it's a waste of money. It is too late to return the item. That said, I am an angry former customer. Please save your money and time and do not purchase this product.

Why didn't I buy these sooner?!
These are SO easy to set, and I love that they make it impossible for a mouse to steel the bait. They are also washable and don't look like they will be subject to rust; should last a looong time.

Works as described, would recommend
We accidentally brought mice in with a box from the shed. These solved the problem quickly. Small and efficient. Easy to clean up, decent quality, didn't make much noise, easy to use, good material.

Stronger than expected
I was a little skeptical of these traps at first because the spring doesn't seem very strong compared to traditional mouse traps. However, after setting them up, they've proven to be effective. I've caught several mice with them, and they're easy to set, dispose of, and reuse. The main downside is that the traps don't always provide a quick kill. If a mouse enters the trap at an angle, the wire bar can snap down and still catch the mouse, but it may not have enough force to kill it immediately. This has happened a few times in my experience. Overall, these traps are effective and easy to use, and they've helped significantly reduce my mouse problem. I just wish the mechanism delivered a more consistent kill every time. Four stars for good performance with a little room for improvement.

SEVEN mice in just 2 days! Amazing!!!
Winner, winner... mice for dinner??? Gross! My favorite mouse is a dead one, and this sturdy and effective trap is working wonders on our mouse explosion around our chicken coops. Affordable, safe pest control. I could not be more pleased. Sorry little guys, you're just too gross for me!

Get it
Buy them, they work. Caught 7 of them in 4-5 days using cheddar cheese as bait. Easy to use. Building Exterminators didn’t work. Purchase a second set as back up for emergency.

Little trapdoor that mice need to lift
This is one of many mouse trap designs. The mouse must lift a "trap door" (like a hinged plastic lid) to access the bait and trigger the bar. This has not worked for me as of yet, but it is much better than the older mouse trap design that I used in the past with no hidden bait. This trap works on smart and fool mice alike.

Mouse Trap
Delivery was very slow for this item, but I have to say the quality of the product is very good. I can also confirm it works as designed and disposal of occupant is easy without catching fingers. I have found putting peanut butter in the bait receptacle, works well. The trap is different to classic designs, instead of the pest putting weight on the pressure plate, a plastic flap is lifted so they can get access to the bait which sets the trap off. By the way No Cheese was hurt or damaged while using this product!
