Taping isn't necessary, however, it helps keep the color cards in place so they don't move around when indi rolls over them. A hard, smooth surface is recommended.

Sphero does not sell individual indi cars, but you can purchase the indi At-Home Kit as an alternative to this kit. The indi At-Home Kit comes with paper color tiles as opposed to the silicone tiles included in the Student Kit.

My kids love it. It helps with science and simple coding. There are different coloured mats that that have different movements for the car. With these mats you can make a course for the car to travel. It leads to a lot of critical thinking and trial and error. That keeps them engaged, and keeps them thinking critically. Worth it for sure

Expensive but no fun to 4 year old.

Not fun at all for a 4 year old. The only thing it can do is to go straight ahead, turn right, turn left, slow down, and stop. But the cards have to be align perfectly straight for it to work, and this is nearly impossible for as kid to do. In short an expensive but no fun. My kid just did not want to play with it after the first few tries. As it can only go forward and stop.

Recht teuer, kommt aber super an und lädt zum Experimentieren ein

Tolles Spielzeug. Ich habe es eigentlich für mich zum testen für die Kita gekauft und wollte es mit meiner 2-jährige Nichte ausprobieren. Sie liebt es und will nun immer wieder "Auto" spielen. Ich habe es zwar im Angebot gekauft, ansonsten wäre es mir zu teuer gewesen, aber es hatte trotzdem noch einen stolzen Preis.
