DOOM: The Classics Collection (Limited Run #102)

You can't go wrong with classic DOOM. The only caveat to this is that Bethesda made it to where you need to be online before you can even boot the game up. You'll also get constant pop-ups in the menu about connecting if you decided to put the Switch in Airplane Mode to avoid needing to be connected online. It completely defeats the purpose of having a physical copy of a game and is very anti-consumer. You should NEVER need an online connection to play a physical game. After tons of backlash for this, LRG and Bethesda decided to release the game again but with the DRM removed. They sent out free copies to everyone that had bought this version as long as they proved that they destroyed the cart in a video or picture, which is utterly ridiculous! I think it was only that way for people outside of the U.S. because I never participated in that. Customers in the U.S. just had to send the cartridge only back to them and they would get their Non-DRM copy (cartridge only). That is the more rare version of this game. This version of the game is the DRM version. So many greedy and unethical business tactics in the gaming industry these days.

All games are on cart. Only problem with the game is you to sign in to besthda or it will bug you non stop till you dom Irritating as hell.

This is such a great game. My favorite 1st person shooter game.I have always loved Doom and now have all the Doom games. Also love this collectors edition. Wonderful looking package for display. Very glad I purchased it.

Riesiges Danke an Amazon, dafür das ihr Doom und auch Quake von Limited Run hier verkauft. Ich bin schon lange auf der Jagd nach den Physischen Versionen dieser Spiele. Über Limited Run sind diese ja nicht mehr zu bekommen. Zuerst dachte ich "mist, das wars". Aber dann hab ich gesehen das ihr auch ein paar wenige dieser Exemplare habt und verkauft. Musste sofort zugeschlagen. Und ihr habt mich damit sehr sehr Glücklich gemacht. Vielen lieben Dank :-)

It's classic Doom 1, 2 and 3 with their expansion packs. Basic controls of FPS. Various difficulty settings. Take note that this collection was realesed in 2021 so it displays the original graphics. It DOES NOT have the remastered graphics of 2024 re-release.

Clásicos de Doom en Switch!! Qué más se puede pedir?? No voy a poner PRO y CONS pero dejo un listado y cada quien decide: - Precio elevado, peroooo - No requiere descargar nada, el juego se encuentra en el cartucho - No requiere activación - Los gráficos son buenos (equivalentes al juego y a la época en que salieron) A diferencia de "comprarlo y descargarlo" creo que esta opción es mejor a la larga si quiere poder jugar Doom por varios años o decadas, ya que no requerirá revisar "si puedes jugar el contenido descargado", lo cual casi seguro volverá inútiles muchos juegos una vez cierren los servidores de verificación dentro de algunos años.
