Cuisinart Outdoor Fire Pit, Cleanburn Smokeless System, Wood Burning, 24"

I researched long and hard before selecting a fire pit. I've been using this for almost a year now before writing my review and I have to say that we LOVE it and use it almost every night. 1. Beautifully made and is showing no signs of deterioration, rusting, etc after almost a year on our PNW deck. 2. OMG - So easy to light!!! This fire pit lights in two seconds with a single match and two screws of paper. I was amazed. No blowing, no fussing, no hovering in the smoke trying to get the wood to light. The air holes around the base make this the easiest fire to light EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. 3. I needed a pit I could put on a WOODEN deck. The "base ring" that the fire bowl sits on is about 4-5" high, which is what is recommended minimum safe separation for having a fire pit on a wooden deck. The footed base plate (bought separately) adds an additional 1-2". For added peace of mind, we bought a round reflective fire mat to go underneath everything. It's worked beautifully. Even after several hours of steady use I can slide my hand under the fire pit comfortably (which I did obsessively for the first few weeks, terrified that we were going to burn our deck). 4. I initially assumed I'd get a propane fire pit but soon realized propane smells, it hisses, you have a hose snaking across your deck, and it's tedious and expensive to refill the tank every few times you run the pit. With this fire pit, I'm steadily burning through our wood/brush pile and am thrilled about that. 5. VERY little smoke produced and incredibly small amounts of ash to clean up. After about 8 hours of steady burning there's only about an inch or two of ash.....amazing. I love the ease of accessing/emptying the ash collection basin too...takes two seconds. A BEAUTIFULLY designed product and I couldn't be happier with it. Everyone who comes to our house and gets to see it wants one. >:-)

I wanted one of these smokeless fire pits everyone's raving about but most were too small to be a legit outdoor fire pit and tbh I just couldn't stand the look of them as most looked like big metal turkey fryers. Enter the Cuisinart Cleanburn Fire Pit. After continuous scrolling I found this diamond in the rough. Definitely the best looking I've seen other than the Tiki brand big one and it's wide and deep enough to where I can add regular sized fire logs this way the fire persists for a while and doesn't just instantly vaporize through kindling like a majority of the others. Also they offer a base stand that elevates it off the ground a few inches so I can use it on my wooden deck. There are a lot of accessories for it and you can even cook on it so it's extremely versatile. Unlike my traditional fire pit this stays clean and leaves minimal ash (dont ask me how) in the base portion that you easily empty by turning the main body to detach it. The quality and craftsmanship is exactly what I expected from Cuisinart. I've used this literally every night since I've had it. In the beginning phase there's some smoke but once the fire truly catches there's minimal smoke or sparks. I did get the spark screen top only because I like how it looks with it. In the end after countless days of research I was between this and the Tiki brand but after reading a lot of reviews how the legs of the Tiki rust out and deteriorate after only 6 months I chose this one. And this isn't just a big metal bowl either. There's some serious ingenuity behind this. There's these holes all around the inside top and outside bottom that make the fire burn really hot and make it look really cool when burning as fire shoots out those little holes. I'm posting a video so you can see what I mean. Anyway, if your looking for a big firepit that looks awesome and doesnt resemble a turkey fryer don't hesitate like I did. For the price it's a steal. Quite possibly top 3 products I've ever bought on Amazon. Update 10/26/2023 - In just a few weeks I burned through 3/4 of an entire full cord of wood in this thing and it's handled everything I throw at it. Once the fire burns on its own you can even throw in wood that's not even close to seasoned. I threw in a few logs that weighed a ton due to the moisture content in them and this firepit roasted them with ease. That's how hot it gets once it gets started. This has officially become the best purchase I've ever made on Amazon. And I swear Cuisinart isn't paying me or anything like that.

Great quality fire pit when compared to some more expensive others. It is a great size and allows for a nice big fire. Had it out in the weather and so far has not rusted at all like some other fire pits I have had in the past. Super easy to use. Just put the wood in and lite it and enjoy.

For those of you debating between a solo stove or this Cuisinart, look no further! This Cuisinart is the perfect budget-friendly alternative. It works exactly the same. It doesn't give off alarm smoke, and it kicks out a good amount of heat! The size is perfect for a backyard fire pit night with friends. I would recommend getting a cover for it, like for every other fire pit. Great purchase!

Our guests were skeptical of our new firepit— by Cuisinart, really??—until they saw it in action. We used it last night for the first time, and it works like a charm. There was a little smoke when we first lit the fire, but in a few minutes there was none, and my clothes and hair didn’t smell smoky at all this morning. It radiated a nice amount of heat, and I can imagine using it through much of the fall and winter. Its low, open profile makes the fire far more visible than some competing brands, which I love. We used color cones to add some bursts of color to the flames, and it was beautiful! This morning there was just a little residue in the bottom of the ash catcher, very easy to clean up. If you buy this firepit, you won’t be disappointed.

I wanted a smokeless pit that was comparable to the quality of the solo but had a different look and feel this pit fit the bill. It’s shape and color give off a classy look but it's shape also allows you to burn varied sizes of wood, large, small, and the odd ones with extra knots. This pit sits up off the ground on a base very stable and solid but also by sitting up off the ground a couple of inches gives space between your deck and a hot pit. I have composite decking so while I had a fire going I did a heat test with my hand, my son said I have balls of steel because of this action but the decking didn’t feel hot and I didn’t burn my hand off having said that I did this test so you don’t have to. Long story longer, if you want a pit that looks great, burns great, and feels more like a fire pit than a stove this is a nice one. Comes with a fire poker and a canvas cover. I also bought a fire pit mat to go underneath because I’m a bit paranoid.

With the venting in the bottom it lets starts the fire very quickly. Hardly any smoke. Great heat.

I love this fire pit. We have had it in use for more than one year now and we still enjoy it very much. It has discoloured somewhat around the top (as expected) but it functions very well. My wife enjoys the ambience and warmth of an open fire but struggles with smoke - this fire pit has made a big difference by dramatically reducing nuisance smoke - not totally eliminated, but significantly reduced. It is expensive, but it is also a very good product - the best 'breathing' fire pit I have seen.

Originally bought this for its looks and style all the rest just look like a shiny burn barrel. This looks great. Going to build a patio featuring it. When I purchased it there were no reviews as to how it performed. I'm VERY impressed. What a fantastic design. Constant flame regardless how much wood in bowl. Constant airflow allows for a complete burn. Little to no smoke even with less than completely dry wood. Due to efficient burn you may use a bit more wood than normal but not overly significant. When your done it only takes about an hour or so to completely burn down to nothing than ash...amazing. I use an old paint brush to brush the ash into the tray below. Clean up is a breeze. So in short...great styling, clean burn, smokeless, easy clean up, lots of flame, great fire pit. For those who purchase one.....enjoy

This thing is amazing! Very impressed. Great heat and virtually no smoke. Sat all night with a roaring fire, no problems and clothes do not smell of smoke one bit. Best investment. No longer smoking us or the neighbours out anymore. Highly recommend!

Not completely smokeless but a lot less smoke. Wood burns hot. Only white ash left when fire is over. I wish it had come with a screen cover. The fabric cover fits well and seems durable.
