It is very good that both the left and right mouse buttons are quiet and this is a very accurate and responsive mouse. The initial setting of the wheel button is very loud and turning the wheel is loud in one direction but not the other direction. However, after I had the mouse for a while, I found out that pushing the top white button forward causes the wheel to be silent and also scroll a LOT faster. It actually works amazingly; this is the first mouse I've ever had that has this function. Another thing that I learned only later from reading the company website is that it can run on a single AA battery, which makes it substantially lighter. I found that with two batteries, that really slows down how fast you can move the mouse from place to place across the screen, while it is much better with just one battery. Finally, I am using it on Ubuntu 20.04, which the mouse works on, but the software that sets up button customization isn't a Linux program. I found that there are some Linux hacks, but I haven't heard one that claims to make the button customization work. Finally, I like the size of the mouse for my medium-small hand. I find larger mice uncomfortable. Given this combination of quiet clicks, fast, silent scroll wheel, accuracy, and great size, it really makes for a mouse.

Purchased two (2) of these back in March, 2023. Saw the reviews on Amazon and other reviewer sites and overall seemed to have good connectivity with Bluetooth and the dongle. Design-wise, felt good under my palm and was easy to navigate, functioning pretty well within a small/limited mouse space on the desk. Within the first year, started noticing the slight increase in the frequency at which I was replacing the batteries, then noticed how the battery reading would jump around from high to half-empty to nearly empty and then back again. Have always checked that the batteries are actually functioning using other devices. Kept the firmware updated, and it would seem as if the mouse was working, but then the problems would start up again after a few days. Restarting the computer seemed to solve the issues, only for them to return days later. At this point this had been going on for a year. After almost two years with continuous (but workable) issues, the mouse completely stopped working, even with new batteries installed, so decided to open the second mouse (same model) that I had bought. 'New' mouse functioned perfectly for about two months before the battery level reading started going from 70s to 30s. Restarting the computer would be a temporary fix before the issues would start again. This had been happening for over a year now with this second mouse before it, too, lost all functionality. i.e. It just stopped working; putting new batteries in doesn't do anything; no lights indicating, nothing. According to other reviews (Amazon or elsewhere) these issues still continue to occur and so am unsure that exactly the problem is. Had consistently kept the firmware updated, but they both still had issues with the battery reading and connectivity. When they were working perfectly (for a few months), the experience was excellent, but because of this, the issues with battery reading and frequent troubleshooting over long periods of time really sobered the overall experience.

This is a great replacement for the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 I used for many years and had bought new every year due to the buttons wearing out. I have had this one for a year so far, so I am hoping the buttons last much longer. Features I like... very ergonomic (no hand strain), two buttons on the side (nicely placed), switch-selectable flywheel mode for the wheel works great, battery life is good and very easy to replace, the Teflon pads on the bottom are generous. I use the included with my PC through a KVM and have found the mouse to be 100% reliable. I also like the software... it is easy to switch modes when I am doing CAD work versus general use.

I tried 4 different mice when needing a replacement. I landed on this one because it had most of the features I was looking for: silent clicks, hyperscroll, tilt wheel, customizable side buttons, smoothe glides. One hardware set back is the dual AA batteries which must be recharged / replaced every 2 weeks. This also adds weight vs an internal rechargeable battery - good/bad/otherwise. The button customization requires the installation and use of the Razer Synapse Beta software. All I want to do is set the side buttons for copy/paste. It has other more advanced features including macros, but those are irrelevant to me. The software is a pain. After every system restart it no longer detects the wireless USB dongle. I have to unplug and replug it back in for it to use the advanced features. It works as a standard mouse in the interim. I know it's not a computer issue because the issue persists on 2 different computers - one running Windows 10 and the other Windows 11. After a couple months the software now fails to load at all. Even after full uninatall/reinstall. It installs, runs in the system tray, but trying to open the interface presents only a white window - and it still does not detect the mouse. Razer support has been worthless. Now have a $70 mouse as useful as a $5 mouse. Never had these issues with Logitech software. Wish these vendors would include ROM on the mice to keep the button config customization onboard to avoid needing software in the background altogether (like some keyboards do).

(Update: I reached out to the seller about the 2.4GHz dongle failing, and they were quick to respond and happy to work with me. They offered to let me return it for either a replacement or a refund, which I greatly appreciated.) (I also ordered a USB 3.0 Adapter 90 Degree Male to Female Coupler Connector Plug Left Angle and Right Angle adapter.. just in case the direct heat from my gaming laptop is responsible for this i will update if its an issue even outside of the direct heat.) This mouse was honestly great… until it wasn’t. I bought it Dec 1, 2025, it was delivered Dec 6, and the return window closed Jan 31, 2026. Now it’s Feb 1, 2026, and the 2.4GHz USB dongle has already stopped working. That’s less than two months from delivery, which is pretty ridiculous for something this simple. I use it for extremely light gaming at night when my wife and kids are asleep, and that’s why I switched to it in the first place. I had been using my older, beefier mouse, but the constant clicking was driving my wife nuts while she was trying to sleep. On that end, this mouse absolutely delivered. The main clicks are pretty quiet. The scroll wheel and side buttons do make normal mouse noise, not overly loud by any means, but they’re not silent either. Still, for typical use it’s a quieter setup overall. Unfortunately, the connection started with random little “slips” where it would disconnect briefly, then it got worse until it basically stopped functioning. I even thought maybe my laptop’s heat fried the dongle, but my other mouse works perfectly fine on the same laptop, so that doesn’t really add up. If it turns out it also kills my older mouses dongle from the heat, I’ll update this review. But as it stands, it’s hard to recommend when the wireless dongle can fail this fast, especially with the return window closing right before it finally dies.

After not having the best experience with Razer in the past, I decided to go with the only other small-form-factor mouse I could find within the specs I wanted. I travel weekly for work and wanted something I could use for work (nothing with wild LEDs or the gamer aesthetic), but that also lets me do some gaming in the hotel room. The Pro Click mini fits the bill thanks to its upgraded sensor. I changed from an MX Anywhere 2, which was good, but it was time for an upgrade, and the hyperspeed connection was a welcome addition. What I didn't expect was to like this mouse as much as I have. The silent click is missed this week (I forgot my mouse at home, and picked up a cheap one for the week), as well as the smooth scrolling. This mouse fits just right for me. I don't have small hands, but I tried the Logitech 305 for a week, and it just felt like a tank after using the MX anywhere for years.

My Logitech MX Anywhere 2 died and this showed as a potential replacement. I have a Razer Viper Ultimate Wireless as well. What's to like? First it's almost a clone of the Logitech MX for size and shape. It even fits in the case I had bought for the Logitech. It fixes two of my main complaints about the MX 2, and 3. It uses AA Batteries so you can replace them if needed during a session. It also has storage for the Dongle. It's too soon to tell if it fixes the double click issue that has caused me to turn my back on the MX series. Overall it's close enough to the MX to be a good if not quite as good replacment. That's the good. As for how well it replaces the MX for form and function. It's less rosy. The click is quieter. That's one of Razers selling points. But it's less precice and takes more vertical space. Or at least it feels like it. It's not as comfotable as it should be. The scroll wheel is mushy. When scrolling it should freewheel or have snap points as feedback for how far you have scrolled. Both the MX and even the Viper Ultimate do a better job here. The MX 3's new system can fade in and out so while the new MX is better than the Razer, neither is steller. The Viper Ultimate does a good job. For the price this should have side buttons on both sides so the mouse would be good for either hand. Like the MX it has two thumb buttons for right handed folks. Since I used a mouse left handed I don't use them. These buttons stick out and dig into my finger. The Viper and MX both have designs that provide these same buttons but without sticking out as far. My Razer arrived with one of the plastic glides curled and peeling up from the bottom of the mouse. I smushed it back into place. The MX laser is top notch and works on any surface. The Razer has problems with glossy and glass surfaces. I was using it on a Corian desktop and it was jumpy and laggy. The frosted glass desk I'm using to type this review up is a no go. I had to put paper under it. Summarizing. It has dongle storage, better battery option (though with USB charging being common now this is less of an issue than it used to be). It has a good feel and overall is almost on a par with the MX for performance. If you are tired of buying MX mice only to have the double click problem ruin your day and your mouse investment, this is an acceptable alternative. At least until Logitech throws a "We solved it" party. Razer themselves has room to improve. They have the design chops to do as good as, if not better than Logitech.
