This was the easiest buy ever. My kids broke our original apple tv remote, so we've been using the remote app on our phones for years. It was working until they moved the remote to the control center, and then it just stopped connecting. I finally just pulled the plug on a replacement remote and boy was that easy. Pros: Much cheaper than apple tv remote, it came the very same day I ordered it, just put batteries in and it auto syns with your apple tv! THAT EASY.

The demise of my apple remote was a coffee spill, so I was on the hunt for a replacement & had the apple remote in my cart. About to press purchase I started thinking; the voice command button never worked (I had 2) so why am I spending the extra money when I could get a basic remote? So I searched basic apple universal remotes and this one came up. Yes, it’s basic but it works really well, I can change channels with ease, edit menu items & it matches my tv remote (I have to keep that one for volume and powering on the tv). As long as you need a basic apple remote go for it!

I was looking for a better remote than the one that with my brand new Apple TV 4K bc u can’t put the glass remote in your pocket or really hold it without something being triggered in that stupid touch pad. I even turned the sensitivity all the way down to the lowest and still it’s hassle. Anyways, I figured the 3rd gen remote’s would work so I went hunting for one of those, only to find out that they no longer make em or sell em. I did end up buying one on eBay but it still hasn’t come. Luckily this remote showed up quicker and I was skeptical at first but I figured what’s the worse that could happen, it not work and then I just have another remote that doesn’t work. To my amazement after popping the batteries in that came with the remote (thank you for that!) I figured I’d have to pair it up bc that’s what the instructions state. Menu and left button hold down 5 seconds. Anyways, didn’t need to. Popped em in and boom it worked. So as long as you’re in Eye sight of your Apple TV 4K it’ll work for you too! Thanks for a great remote!!!!

It worked instantly! Just like others have said, as soon as you put the battery in (that comes with it) and are in sight of the box, it works! It’s made of very cheap plastic but who cares, it’s inexpensive and works! Another issue is that I haven’t been able to turn the tv off with the remote. With a real Apple TV remote you can hold the menu button to put it to sleep. Maybe I’m not pressing the right button or something though. Does not control volume either.

I am a klutz and dropped our Apple TV remote in my bowl of soup. How this happens is as much a mystery to me as it is do you reading this, no doubt. We didn't want to pay the 60 plus dollars to get a true apple remote replacement so we wanted to find one off Amazon. This one had great reviews and was a great price but at what cost? There is no on and off button, you turn it on by pressing the menu button and then the only way we've been able to find out how to turn it off is to go into the settings on the Apple TV and navigate to the sleep function. Needless to say this is less than ideal. Additionally, it does not have sound function so we have to go up to the TV and adjust the sound every time which is a pain in the butt. I didn't expect to have these features but I do miss the trackpad and the voice search which both of these things this remote does not have. If you're looking for something just to make it accessible this probably will work for you but if you're looking for an actual remote that you can use that functions closer to how the Apple remote or a normal remote would function this will probably not work for you. We are returning as soon as we can find a better alternative.

I got this remote because my Apple TV remote went out and wouldn’t hold its charge. I didn’t want to pay an arm and leg to get it replaced so looked at a different one that would work. For the price it isn’t bad, you get the basic controls and works perfectly fine. So if your wanting something to help now until you can save up for the actual this is the perfect remote. The only thing is it’s nothing like the original. I would recommend it to the next person who needs something right away but not for the long run.

It is not the sellers issue, it's mine. Everything in the sellers control they handled perfectly - timely shipping and fast processing...the problem is, the marketing photo appears to indicate that the one remote will replace the other two models - one of which looks like an Apple TV remote - it isn't. This remote did not control my Apple TV. It locked it up 2x, and would only move Left and right in the app, but would not "select" or scroll down into the menu. It will be returned, but again - None of this is the sellers fault, so I certainly won't ruin their seller rating on a mistake I made.

Not as original and poorly used You need to be very close to the router for it to work After a while it doesn't work at all I don't recommend it at all

I absolutely recommend this remote. It’s brilliant and easy to pair to Apple TV. I was so impressed with how quickly it arrived.
