11th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-11600 desktop processor optimized for gaming, creating, and productivity. Featuring PCIe Gen 4.0 support. Thermal solution included in the box. Compatible with 500 series & select 400 series chipset based motherboards. Refer to motherboard vendor for compatiblity details. 65W. Review: Great Budget CPU!! - I recently upgraded to the Intel Core i5-11600, and it’s been an excellent choice for my setup. For the price, the performance is honestly impressive. It handles everyday tasks like browsing, multitasking, and school/work programs effortlessly, and it performs really well in gaming too. Paired with a good GPU, I’m getting smooth frame rates in most modern games without any noticeable bottlenecks. It stays responsive under load, and temperatures are manageable with a decent aftermarket cooler. The 6 cores and 12 threads make it great for light content creation and streaming as well. Installation was straightforward (LGA 1200 socket), and it worked perfectly with my compatible motherboard after a quick BIOS check. Overall, if you’re building a solid mid-range PC or upgrading from an older generation CPU, the Intel Core i5-11600 offers strong performance and great value. Definitely recommend. Review: Wife approved. - Shipped quickly. Worked great. Saved the server. The wife has plex again, so everything is perfect.

Probably the best of the 11th Gen Lineup
Unless you really want a K sku, I feel the 11600 65W CPU is a pretty good CPU in the paltry 11th Gen lineup. Rocket Lake seemed to be a disappointment overall, but the mid range CPUs weren't too bad. And this is for a totally different review, but 11th Gen isn't a line I'd really recommend to anyone. The only reason I have it is I built this PC on a budget and the LGA 1200 Mobos were cheap at the time. This CPU is paired up with 32GB of DDR4-3600 RAM and an RTX 3070. Overkill but I don't see any major bottlenecks. Handles games like RDR2 just fine. Being a locked CPU that can't be overclocked, this thing is super stable. Something I like about the CPU honestly. Its still a little more expensive than I'd like, but it hasn't let me down either. So I guess its worth it.

Very surprised by it.
Surprised how quick this processor is. Yes it’s older generation but flies through pretty much anything. Low heat output as well.yes it’s no where near my i7 14700 but still pretty quick for a general computer. I used to be an amd fanboy 20 years ago but these days Intel is where it’s at! They just work with everything!
