I Teach Private Drum and Percussion Lessons a few days a week, and this book gets them started on reading and basic skills. Many of my Drum Set Students, also plan to take School Band, and I use this book during the summer and the year before they go into band for the first time, to give them an understanding and the ability to read and play basic rudiments, before they walk in to the classroom.

I was worried to order this book because there were some mixed reviews on if it would arrived damaged or not. I am very happy to report that ours arrived in pristine condition! I am so glad we ordered the spiral board edition so we don’t have to worry about the book closing while we are playing. It was definitely worth the little bit of extra money!
