I was baffled by the wiring diagram that came with the switch for quite some time, but I figured it out in the end. My confusion was that I thought the power coming into terminals 1 and 2 transfer down and out 4/5 or 4/3. That was wrong The power going to 1 and 2 is only to power the switch actuator. You need to a completely separate power source for the 4/5 (NO) or 4/3 (NC) connection. The power can be 24V or all the way up to 110V (240V?) My switch was located near my circuit breaker, so I routed a new cable to power the switch and connected it to terminals 1 and 2 I cut the hot (black) wire in the cable that used to run from the circuit breaker straight to my pump and instead connected hot wire coming from the circuit breaker to terminal 4. I wanted the "Normally Open" behavior, so I connected the rest of the hot wire (that was going to the pump) to terminal 5. The neutral and common wires that previously went to the pump stayed as-is.

Can this timer be used as a bell controller? Can the “On” cycle be set down to like 5 seconds?

I believe the smallest increments is minutes.

Timer is unresponsive to any button press and appears to have a lock symbol? Anyone seen this issue before ??

Can this timer be set to turn on for 4 or 5 minutes every 30 minutes of every day of the week? If not do you have an alternate model that does?

This timer has 24 ON/OFF sets. As far as Ican tell you can program down to 1 minute ON/OFF sets.
