Virgin Territory

Love, lust, virtue, and power run amok- the film has it all. Nuns guilty of sexual passion in an enclosed convent with only a gardiner to slake their wickedness. It is beautifully filmed and the horrors of plague offset by young love, challenged and then redeemed. It is fun. The Legion of Decency would have condemned it 70 years ago, but as it isn’t any more scandalous than Boccaccio, rather less so in fact, it will do no damage to an earnest soul. Movies should be fun and it is, that sums it up.

Similar to Cassanova story .. Some nudity.. but it is fun to watch..

Love this movie. Could they make one like this today? Nope. Hidden gem as a dvd collector: yes. Hayden you don’t see much any more but in his heyday this was another huge movie after Looper. Nice romp in 2000s nostalgia. “Myyyy LOOOOOONS” always has me laughing. It was just a teen flick but shot like a knights tale with 2000s pre social movements. Is this a critical film? No. Did I enjoy it? Yes.

There is some nudity. A few topless. One rear view of two fully nude women. One rear view of woman removing her panties. The best one is a full frontal in the extras. The woman has beautiful breasts and a beautiful Mohawk.

I bought this movie for the sole purpose of staring at Hayden Christensen. My god, how is one human even so beautiful? The English accents were a swing and a miss but obviously we didn't come here for the acting or the storyline. I'm just glad there's footage of his looking this way that will exist forever.

Was a pretty terrible movie. I liked some of its narrative structure (the character who narrates was interesting, but never developed). Some reviewers seem to think it has a lot of T&A, but I don't think they were watching the same movie. I counted 3 or 4 scenes with nudity. In any case, the movie was pretty boring. The narrator character was far more interesting than the protagonist, which usually makes for a lame story, except maybe in some novels like Cárcel de amor. Bottom line is that I paid $8 for this movie, and it's not really even worth that. The characters aren't developed. There's nothing funny about it, and there isn't even enough gratuitous nudity to make the movie worthwhile.

Worst $2.99 I’ve ever spent on a movie rental. Save yourself the money and pick something with a better script, costume design and actors.
