This is by far my favorite chalk for alterations. I use it daily and love the shape and size of the chalk. Comes in good colors: white and light blue. Very durability and a great value for the cost. I can use it on a variety of different fabrics which is wonderful as a seamstress.

Perfect. Works well and was easier and cheaper to buy on Amazon then to go out and find it. Period now that there is no Joanne fabrics. It’s really hard to find sewing supplies. This is great just like The one my grandmother used. So old school is best and this works great. I think people are asking about sharpening. And I just make sure when I use it to hold the chalk at an angle and that will keep the built-in edge.

The white chalk was cracked to bits.
