Does it come with the cookbook shown?

No. When I received my Pelmeni maker, didn't come with cookbook.

Will the aluminum turn black in the dishwasher?

All un-anodized and uncoated aluminum does this-and some will even deteriorate slightly and develop little white, rough "deposits" on the surface. The label on this item warns to "Hand wash with dishwashing soap and water. Do not wash in the dishwasher". I scrubbed mine a bit with a dishwashing brush to be sure that that all crevices were clean before storing.

Is the plastic BPA free?
