I have several antique and vintage metal plant stands that have been passed down through my family—from my great-grandmother to my grandmother, then my mom, and now to me. I'm in the process of restoring them, and because of all the intricate scrollwork and tight crevices, I needed a better way to remove old paint and rust. I had already purchased 3-inch sanding discs, but I couldn't find my disc adapter. In hindsight, that turned out to be a blessing because I found these on Amazon and chose the 2-inch adapters instead. That allows the sanding discs to extend beyond the edge of the adapter, making it much easier to reach into tight spaces without wearing out my hands sanding everything by hand. The adapters are very well made, and I love that the set includes two of them. I'm notorious for setting tools down during a project and then spending more time looking for them than using them, so having a spare is a huge bonus! The sanding discs fit perfectly, stay securely in place, and work great with my cordless drill. As someone new to using this type of setup, I also learned that setting my drill to reverse keeps the adapter from loosening during use. Once I figured that out, everything worked flawlessly. These adapters have saved me a tremendous amount of time and effort, and they're an excellent value for the price. The photo I included shows just a few of the family heirlooms I'm restoring, and I'm looking forward to bringing many more back to life.
