Works exactly as intended, albeit a bit chunky. Obviously read the listing stating usb 2.0 for data but perfect for my use case connecting a raspberry pi to a rack mounted monitor without letting the pi power it, or the monitor try power the pi when it was off… 90% sure all bad reviews for the product are people not realising it only does usb 2.0 data transfer…

There’s no hype with this, it is exactly what it says it is - and they’ve literally made it transparent to prove it. The price perfectly matches the product spec. Didn’t solve my particular problem but that’s an issue with my equipment. Well done for providing an honest, well-priced product that solves a need without having to resort to high-priced, obfuscated snake-oil ! (Or taping over USB pins 🙂) Top marks 👍🏼

Bought to connect phone as a GPS navigator in car without over-charging. Does not work at all. Blocks power and data. To return this part of larger order would void the saving on free postage and therefore lead to an overall loss. Do not buy.

I use this on my JetKVM device to make sure power is taken from the USB mains adapter and not the USB socket on the motherboard. Quite a niche use case, but works perfectly!!

Bought as a belt-and-braces protection for a 3D printer I am using with a Pi and Octoprint. I don't think I strictly need it, in fact, but it is nice to know this specific problem can't occur. Well-made, does its job, and it's a lot easier than modifying a cable.

Does what it says but it came up in a search that was for usb 3 products but it restricted the interface to 2.0 so was totally useless for my purposes

I bought this to eliminate interference noise , which it did , but while it should pass data , it didn’t pass midi data so was of no use for me sadly, ymmv.

I bought this as I had a JetKVM with a faulty splitter cable which would cause power to back feed, this solved the problem as it only lets data through.

Fait parti d'un petit montage dans la voiture pour alimenter le boitier Android Auto sans fil. Le boitier est bien alimenté uniquement quand le moteur tourne. (la connexion se rétablissait avec le téléphone quand je sortait pour aller dans le jardin ou que je bricolais dans le garage). Problème résolu, ça fonctionne depuis 15 jours.

Blocca l'elettricità, quello lo fa benissimo, unico punto a sfavore è il fatto che con certi apparecchi (nel mio caso una scheda audio motu 6x6) il PC non riesce a collegarsi bene, pur la scheda audio non necessiti di energia dal PC Il suo dovere lo fa, non costa nemmeno tanto, l'unico problema è la compatibilità con tutti i dispositivi, non ti rimane che provarlo.
