Does the job
I purchase PIONEER P.R.O. Series TS-M801PRO 8" replacement speakers, but quickly realized magnet is so huge it needs to raise above car door liner. I was able successfully replace 6.5" speakers and with 3000 watts amp get car sound quality beyond my expectations. No buzz or ringing, easy to mount, hold speakers very well.

It Fit !!!!
My 1st impression was this won't fit and I can't modify it because it is not solid, but hollow on the backside. Boy was I wrong... It fit perfectly ! I put it in between my Scar audio 8 inch Hi-Q sub and grill cover with no need to clearance the inner diameter, true to spec 7 1/4 inch inner diameter circle. Unlike the MDF version I bought from Amazon which took hours of modifying the inner diameter, the only modification I made, wad to open up the mount holes just enough to permit a slip fit with the screws. Had I did this with my MDF version I would not have split it in two at the bolt holes.

Wrong size in item description
Hello, the rings are fine, and if they fit your application you'll be very pleased you got them. The real problem is in the item description. This is the claim from the seller: "Inner Diameter Of 7-7/8″." The real ID is 7 1/4". Seven and a quarter. In summary, it's a 5-star product with a 1-star description.
