Buy this micro connection cable
I love everything about my new micro cable. The cable is connected from my laptop to my external hard drive. In the past 2 weeks I have noticed that I have lost connection to my hard drive to either recall or file my projects. I had to start moving the connection around and I had to try to hold it steady with one hand and use the mouse or keyboard. I finally gave in and I found this cable that fixes my problems. I just plugged the cable in and my hard drive kicked right on. One thing that this cable also fixed was the length of the cord. My old cord was only 1.5 feet long and it was hard to position the drive without getting in my workspace. I ordered the 6 foot cord so that I can move the hard drive just about anywhere I want and not interfere with the things I have on my desk. I also ordered a bigger, thicker cable to make sure that the cord would not bend and cause any problems later. Even the price was great. I was expecting to pay at least double or triple the actual cost. I even got the delivery in just 2 days. I would definetly would recommend that people purchase this micro cable cord.

Works as Expected and as Good As Other Brands!
I compared this to a "AINOPE USB 3.0 Cable 3.3FT Seagate External Hard Drive Cable Durable Nylon Braided Fast Data Transfer Cord Compatible with Samsung Galaxy S5/Note 3/Note Pro 12.2, Canon Camera, Seagate Hard Drive" cable I had previously bought off Amazon. I saw no noticeable difference in the speed at which files were transferred. My dad had an older hard drive that still uses this connection type, and I use it now as a redundant backup drive for some of the files I store on my NAS and an NVMe SSD.

And at a great price. I use it for my Western Digital My Book external hard drive.

Tested it against three other budget Micro-B cables. This one won.
Before I get into this, a quick note on context: I manage a small content production setup and we're constantly moving large video files between machines and portable drives. I've cycled through more USB 3.0 Micro-B cables than I care to admit — cheap ones that throttle to USB 2.0 speeds after a few weeks, stiff ones that stress the port with any slight tension, and one memorably bad one that caused my WD Elements to disconnect mid-transfer and corrupt a project folder. So yeah, I take cable quality more seriously than most people probably should. I picked up this ITANDA cable alongside two other budget options to run a quick comparison. My methodology: CrystalDiskMark sequential read/write to a Seagate 2TB portable HDD, repeated three times per cable, same USB 3.0 port, same drive. The ITANDA came in at a consistent 118 MB/s read and 112 MB/s write — nearly identical to my reference cable (a $22 Anker) and meaningfully ahead of the other two budget options, one of which barely cracked 90 MB/s and clearly wasn't sustaining full USB 3.0 bandwidth. Real-world large file transfers felt snappy and never dropped connection once across about two weeks of daily use. Build quality is where this cable separates itself from the usual dollar-bin fare. The braiding is tight and even, not the loose weave that frays within a month. The strain relief at both ends has actual flexibility to it — it bends without feeling like it's going to crack — and the connectors seat firmly with a satisfying click on both the drive and the USB-A port. At 3.3 feet it hits the sweet spot for desktop use: long enough to reach a drive sitting beside the monitor without pulling, short enough that you're not managing cable clutter. One thing worth flagging for anyone picking this up for older Samsung devices like the Galaxy S5 or Note 3: it works, but charging over USB 3.0 Micro-B on those phones is slower than you'd expect if you're used to faster modern charging standards. That's a phone limitation, not a cable issue, but worth knowing going in.

Great as a Replacement!
I love the length of this replacement cord. I bought it to replace one that bent and eventually broke at the tip, and this one works perfectly. It reads and transfers data quickly between my external hard drive and computer. The cable itself is thick, feels durable, and isn’t overly stiff. Overall, it has a solid, reliable build.

Good but expensive
Good connector for WD disk, however quite expensive. Wonder why the out of box cable has the old USB connector

Works As It Should
Works As Described. My old SSD cord got bent, and stopped working without tension on it. I bought this one, and so far, so good.
