Best masonry drills I have ever used, seem expensive but can assure they are excellent value, went through concrete fence posts like proverbial knife through butter

I love these. Really do make light work of reinforced concrete. Superb. I do trouble to centre them in my Makita Chuck however.

Needed to drill a few 10mm holes in brickwork of my house (Hanging a heavy gate) I have an old Bosch hammer drill (Green body) which has served me well for over 30 years. Tried to drill a smaller pilot hole on hammer action and blunted all the drills I had. Bought some new Bosch drills and managed to get a couple of holes before they went blunt. Decided it was time to buy a new hammer drill, and bought the Bosch GBH 2-28 F, which is supplied with two chuck types, both quick change. I first tried the ‘normal’ chuck with the newish used drills I had bought, no luck, still over heating and not doing the job. So next I decided to try the SDS plus chuck. Bought the drills that this review is about and WOW!!!!! I went through the brick like it wasn’t there! I also use it on some smaller holes, same result, like drilling through air! Ok, I don’t drill holes four a living, so someone might say I was doing something wrong with my old drill, but I’m just saying that this combo is amazing!

Works as expected

Las utilizo en hormigón y block, al hacer una perforación con la bloca del número 6, esta inicio la perforación y después se fundió la punta, se verificó con un detector de metales bosch y no había ninguna varilla, utilice otra broca y era block, es la primera vez que pasa esto con esta marca. Me Gusta Bosch por su calidad pero ahora no fue buena. Por eso le doy 3 estrellas.

À l’ouverture du coffret, j’ai presque cru que Bosch s’était lancé dans la joaillerie. Les forets sont tellement beaux et bien finis que j’ai hésité à les laisser en décoration dans une vitrine. Mais bon, j’ai fini par me rappeler que leur mission n’était pas de défiler sur un podium, alors direction le perforateur Bosch 2-26 ! Et là… quel plaisir. Dans du béton armé, ça rentre comme si quelqu’un avait activé le mode « beurre fondu ». J’ai percé quatre trous (6 mm, 8 mm, puis 10 mm), en prenant mon temps et en débourrant un peu, et ça avançait tout seul. Petite précision pour les râleurs du bleu : ce n’est pas le foret qui casse, c’est juste la peinture qui s’en va. Rien de grave, rien d’anormal, et surtout aucune perte d’efficacité. Je n’ai pas encore de recul sur la durée de vie, mais pour l’instant, c’est un vrai sans-faute. Très satisfait du matériel !
