If my kid unplugs the device from the wall or flips the switch on the back to off, does that kill it completely? Can they sneak out with no alarm?

If you unplugged this the system ha e a backup battery that still work. If you turn off switch you are totally off. System work fine but I have a problem with the Sim that system doesn't recognize it and has no warranty. But other than that works good.
