Airpods Pro Case 2019

Love this case. Buy it now. don't waster your time with the flimsy silicone cases. The silicone case i had wouldn't stay on, ended up screwing up the apple case by using hot glue to get silicone case to stay on. Once i got the case to stay on i was content keeping it for protection. One day at a gas station the case came out of my pocket as i was pulling my keys out because of the stickiness of the silicone and they landed on the ground, lid flew open and air buds flew out and ended up losing one of them. This case stays on and I love the lid lock so I will never have to worry about headphones flying out when i inevitably drop it. No worries at all with this case. Great texture and feel in hand of the case, feels nice and solid and not too bulky. Was also surprised that they sent a case for the case! what!? at first i thought they screwed up but no it's a case for the case. Will probably never use it but whatever. Above and beyond my expectations for an AirPods pro case! can't believe the price either.

I’ve gone through a number of the soft silicone cases for my AirPods and was stubbornly holding out on them because I liked the look and feel a lot better. But of course my AirPods always fell out of the case, and any double sided tape I used never stuck to the silicone (I wasn’t ever hopeful with that since silicone is notorious for being nonstick, ie silicone baking mats). But when I was getting on the train and the AirPods charging case almost dropped onto the tracks I knew I had to switch. (One of the AirPods was literally millimeters from the edge of the track, I almost lost my mind.) I wasn’t particularly excited about this case because I don’t like the “military” style look or heavy hard cases, but figured I’d have to make a compromise or else risk dropping my AirPods onto the train tracks for sure next time. The case is a little heavier than the silicone cases but it also gives it a secure feeling. The case fits snuggly on the AirPods and doesn’t budge easily. Compared to how easily I slid the AirPods out of the silicone cover to transfer them I feel confident they won’t accidentally fly out of this one. There’s adhesive inside the top portion of the case but that part also fits snuggly as well. I was worried about a two piece case cause I thought the top would always fly off, but I don’t feel worried about this one. The locking part I had mixed feelings about upon purchase. A con about silicone cases is, in my experience, the top always opens up and risks the AirPods themselves falling out. So I thought the lock was a good concept, although I was worried it would be a burdensome extra step. I think it will be a little superficially annoying, but the lock is secure yet not hard to open. I have long nails so undoing the lock can be hard, but such is life with long nails (what isn’t hard to do?). You don’t actually need to press the button too hard or deep to get it to open though, and it can be done with the side of the finger tip or your knuckle if you have to. As much as I’m not super thrilled about the look (which I knew going in, and the aesthetic is maybe not meant for my demographic), I feel a lot less anxiety about losing my expensive earbuds. I say the silicone case fans should make the switch, it’s worth the compromise for the security. The solid black one isn’t THAT terrible to look at! Haha. It’s also matte so if you need to beautify it I bet you can add little stickers. Plus the price is great for what you’re getting! Go for it. If you hate it, Amazon is great about returns.

I went through several cases for my airpods pro, and they all exhibited the same issue rather quickly: They'd stretch out and wouldn't stay on anymore. This one has had no such issues. I've still never applied the little adhesive strip that comes in the top portion, because I've had no issues with it coming off. I've left it in there in case it does stretch or get worn enough to fall off, but I've never peeled off the other paper strip to reveal the adhesive. UPDATE: This case outlasted my airpods themselves. After having them for a good 2.5 years, my airpods started getting ridiculously crackly with transparency or ANC modes on. Apple repair rejected my claim to have them fixed for free, and quoted me $79 per airpod. For that price I just bought new Oneplus earbuds, since I sold my iPhone and got a oneplus phone anyway. It was great while it lasted, and they're still in my drawer as a backup in case I need them in the future.

I purchased these at least 3 years ago. They have held up through various tasks and even a move from Texas to Pennsylvania. I couldn't count the times I dropped them, seriously. Now, have they accidentally popped open a couple of times? Yes, they have. Did I blame the case? No, I just paid more attention to what I was doing. Is anything perfect? No, so if you’re expecting perfection then I don't know what to tell ya. Maybe try buying something made from a harder material that would permanently bond to the AirPods case. Dumping in some max-hold Gorilla glue would fix almost any case, but you’re stuck with it. I would highly recommend this case, it may not be perfect, but it’s still super great. Yes, I put in a double positive. It kept mine safe for at least 3 years and still going strong. I only wrote the review because I read the AI and how people complain about it not being perfect. I would dare say for the price, it almost is. I’d be keeping it too, but I just got a new Airpod Pro 2 and I need a case for the Maglock/watch charging. If you read this far, then your likely convinced and I hope you enjoy. I got mine before the handy little cleaner and plug were part of the deal. If I’d got those as well, I might just say perfect!

I use my AirPods often for work. To maximize battery life, I use one at a time and keep the other one in the case charged. I found that the AirPods case opens easily and the second AirPod falls out and gets lost. When I use them I am traveling with them and using them in warehouses. I needed a case that I could hang from my computer bag or from my belt loop for easy access to the second AirPod. This case lends itself beautifully for that and If I hit it on a wall or drop it on the floor, which has happened already since I got it, my AirPods are protected and secure. My only complaint is that it’s a little hard to open with one hand when I need to switch them out. It can be done but it isn’t easy. On the other hand it’s secure and I’m not easily goin to lose one and have to go back to find it. I wish there was a secure design that I could easily open with one hand but I haven’t found anything better. Until I do, I will happily keep my pods in this case knowing that when I need them they will be right where I put them last.

I really thought this case would do it as soon as I saw it nd it proved to be the best case I have had . I always hated loaing the top cover of other cases and disliked the fact that my AirPods pro would fall out if I was jumping or doing alot of movement such as walking fast . I bought this case and it solved that problem because the locking mechanism means I haven’t lost the top cover of the case and the my aipods don’t come out when they shouldn’t. Finally the other day I dropped the case and the locking mechanism fell of and i was worried I had to buy another case , however you just clipit back on and TA-DA !! works again . Overall great case and would buy again .

I bought these to cover my EarPods case for two reasons - protection of the case itself, but also a solution for keeping hold of these on the go. Pros - These go on super easy... I had no issue with adhesion of the top portion (which was mentioned in a few reviews). They have not slipped off once. I have taken this case on multiple traveling vacations and they have held up extremely well. I should also point out here that I tend to be clumsy, and my electronics products tend to pay the price. This case protect my EarPods from breaking when being dropped from multiple heights... and even accidental flights (we have all been there when we accidentally move a blanket or open purse and things take flight) . Originally I was not planning on using the accompanying case that came with this, but I found i enjoy the added benefit of protection it provides. Con- This case is slightly bulkier than others on the market. But I love that it has the extra protection. This case is also a little more expensive than the cheaper options out there. But after my research (and reviews of the reviews here) I chose these and haven't looked back since.

The case is snug and stays on, but don’t expect that clip to protect your AirPods in a drop. Dropped for the first time today from waist height and the clip popped right off letting the lid fly open and send the AirPods flying onto the wet rock salt sidewalk. Ironically the image they show of “other inferior cases; lock clip pops off” is literally their case. I know this because when the clip popped off I could see the same mechanism underneath. All that holds that “open” clip in place is a tiny nub of plastic on either side. When the case drops the soft plastic flexes and the hard plastic clip flys off releasing the lid to spew your AirPods. This is based only on ONE drop so maybe it hit just right but after seeing the mechanism and popping the clip back on to make the case fully functional again I’m not hopeful for future drops. Otherwise the plastic case did protect the AirPods case from scuffs or damage so… it’s not worthless! Just not actually doing much to keep the AirPods INSIDE the case. Otherwise for keeping on your keychain and banging around in a purse and stuff it’s a decent case that keeps closed.

Keeping your i-pods in your pocket can drain the battery on occasion when they stay open slightly but these will solve the problem

This is my second case as the previous one lost the upper cover due to less adhesion. Ordered this one, look and durability is good but the locking mechanism or the button jammed and jot working. I end up using my old bottom cover with the new upper cover.
