Why do our controllers keep turning off in the middle of game play?

Are the triggers spring loaded or do they click ?

Not sure what you mean. they have a slight click when I press them but not sure how that compares to what your asking.

Can this remote connect to wii? if so how? trying to get back into gaming and i am lost… help!

I don't remember exactly, but if the wii has a usb port, try hooking a usb-c to the controller end and then the usb to the wii. It should hook up immediately and work if its an acceptable controller type. That'd be the only way my friend. Otherwise try a bluetooth controller that's how wiiplus controllers work I believe? I recommend looking up some youtube videos.
