Great helmet
Bought it for bmx. It's the only helmet I've ever had that fits my head without wobbling around or feeling heavy. I don't have to crank the mips down to get it to stay tight like other helmets either.

more comfy than it looks
Doesn't seem like it's a comfortable helmet when you try it on, like there might be some pressure points. I've now used about half a dozen times and it's very comfy helmet and fits very well.

Classic look and style
Exactly what I was going for. A vert skate-style helmet. True to fit. I was on the bigger end of M, smaller end of L. Went with Medium… perfect. Would and do recommend!

Uncomfortable
I have a lot of helmets for cycling, skateboard, eskate, snowboarding. This one is the least conformable with very little padding. There are hard spots all around your head. I use a cycling cap under it for some padding. The protection and looks are good.

BMX Park Rider - Uncomfortable Helmet
This is my 2nd POC Crane helmet, my first being the Crane "Pure" circa 2015ish. I really liked that helmet, so when it came time to replace it I wanted to stick with POC and the Crane line, so the logical next helmet was this one, the Crane MIPS. Unfortunately, this helmet is very uncomfortable for me. The forehead "pad" is abrasive to my forehead and is irritating to wear, especially when jumping around at the skatepark. It leaves a red chafe mark directly in the center of my forehead. I reached out to POC customer service to see if they had any alternative/softer replacement padding I could buy, but was told they do not. I will have to find another brand to wear for now because I straight up can't wear this one for any length of time, which is a bummer after having spend $100+. 2 stars only because I don't doubt that is a safe helmet, despite the discomfort I experienced.

Good for general use, not BMX.
My review is really geared towards someone that will put this thing through actual bmx/skatepark use. If you’re just commuting on a bike, this is probably a great general helmet. The real problems for me start with the little rubber knobs that attach the inner frame to the helmet. They come undone all the time. I have to take my helmet off, at the skatepark, or the top of a ramp, and mess with it. I took the pads out twice to hand rinse them in the sink and they are now torn which makes them kind of fold over, causing my head to be scratched often by the Velcro or plastic frame behind it (which part causes the scratching, I’m not certain). I find that this helmet moves just enough to be a distraction if you rotate your head for spins, or even air high enough. Overall, if you ride BMX at a proficient level, I’d go for a protec, s1 or something else. I don’t want to knock this helmet because the significance of MIPS protection, but I don’t think it’s for bmx/skatepark use. It requires constant adjustment after landing even with the clicker dialed in properly.
