This tools was perfect. Removed a seized damper first try. The other LS remover I purchased failed on multiple attempts. This thing is built solid and worked flawlessly.

Worked well. No issues on a 2011 GMC 6.2L L94. Started with the longest rod and it worked.

Had to pull the harmonic balancer of an 05 Jeep Liberty to change the front main seal. Did the job well and very easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone.

Easy to use. Very good quality. Great price compared to others. My 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT 3.8L V6 had a front crankshaft seal leak for a while. Usually just a drop or two overnight. A few days ago it started leaving softball size puddles. I had somewhat of a hard time finding what tool I needed for it and ultimately decided on this tool. The only very minor problem I had with it was that it did not directly fit onto the harmonic balancer as the arms are slightly too thick to fit the openings on the balancer while it's assembled. I had to push out the pins to remove the arms (easy) and fit each of them into the 3 openings then reattach them to the tool. The arm pins just pop in and out. If you're using this on a Dodge Grand Caravan or Chrysler Town & Country (and probably most vehicles), be sure to get an installation tool to replace the balancer. DO NOT USE THE BOLT. You risk stripping it out. I know people have done it successfully and I've seen people fail at it. It's not worth the risk. I made my own using hardware I had laying around from previous projects.

I purchased this puller to perform a timing belt change on a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country with a 4.0L engine. I looked at all of the pullers Amazon offers and while this one was a little more expensive, I've used OEM tools brand a few times with no issues. This time was no exception. The fingers of the tool have removable pins that allow you to insert the "arms" in tight spaces and then reconnect them after the puller is in place. This feature was a necessity on the 4.0L engine. Once in place with the fingers in place, the harmonic balancer came off with no issues. I've been a technician for over 40 years and I can say that this puller appears to be high quality.

I removed my 15 years old harmonic balancer from a Taurus-X with the 3.5 Non EcoBoost. The removal of the crankshaft bolt is made easy with an impact and a 18 mm socket. Absolutely no need for using your starter or an overweight special socket on these engines. (I live in the rust belt). Removal was first started with the shortest rod to break loose the pulley. After that, the second shortest rod was long enough to finish the removal. There was absolutely no signs of any kind of this tool failing. It’s really made with quality in mind. Overkill for most DIY, probably strong enough for professional daily abuse. Make sure to use some lube on the threads. This way your tool will outlast your vehicle;-) I like the multiple keyways on the shaft and the tool body. This way, you wont ever need to hold the engine from rotating. Definitely a keeper in my shop!

WHERE HAS THIS BEEN! I have been looking for a Harmonic Balancer puller for LS engines for years for a decent price. I NEVER new this existed until a recommendation of Amazon. I work with many Chevrolet's and a co-worker has a Mac Tools version as it's almost similar to this one except black that's really about it. I googled the price for the Mac Tools and comes up to $305 Cdn which is way too expensive. The reason this works for others trying to do a job that needs the Harmonic Balancer is it needs the longest rod in this set that connects to the screw that goes into the crank. On LS (4.2L, 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L) engines the crank is very deep and needs the longest rod. I have used the second longest and it doesn't have enough length to pull it off. The kit does Chevrolet which i mentioned and many Chrysler or Dodge vehicles most likely the 5.7L Hemi. The set is very very good for the price as $60 is really good quality. The set comes with the puller, screw, and rods. The only thing is you will need an installer as this is only the puller. The puller has locks into the jaws that lock it into place which has a ball bearing to keep it there. The only thing to note that the case is red in the picture and i received a green case with a green puller but makes to difference as it severs the function. It's nice to have a change of color which is easily visible. I am telling you now if you own a Chevrolet with an LS then this the absolute tool you need. I am blow away from how good this worked out and plus it never broke the bank buying it. I am beyond satisfied with the purchase.
