Heel Toe Shift Pegs Front & Rear Levers for Harley 86-17 FL Softail

I kept trying to fix the old ones everything I could thinking that buying new ones we're going to be expensive until I come across these. They got here in one day had them on in about 15 minutes and nothing's come loose and everything is cool and happy happy happy

I bought a new shaft, and decided to put on new pegs while changing the shaft. I love that the bolts are installed from the top for easy access. The old ones had bolts on the backside and were more of a pain to get to. They installed in minutes, and have worked effectively ever since. These toe shift pegs look attractive, install easily, and in my opinion, work very well. I am very satisfied with this purchase. The cost makes it a no-brainer.

They do look nice but are cheap, the screws are worse. Snugged them in with a screw driver no power tools, I tried to back them out to adjust the position of the shaft and one stripped, this was using a bit and screw driver not even the torque of an allen. They went in fine but coming out it stripped out. Had to dremel cut the screw then used a normal flat head to pry the arm/leg off the shaft and the piece snapped with the beginning of my effort, very little strength. Not sure they can withstand a hard shift or long use.....don't get stranded. Maybe its a good thing I kept the original shifter installed as the heel for when I need to just flip it around again and use it as a toe shifter.

I would have given a 5 star rating but, the threads need to be retapped after the Items were chrome plated. The chrome plating adds a little thickness that makes the threads a little tight for the cap screws which can cause thread damage while installing or removal so be advised that you may need to retap the threads. With that said the quality of the chrome is surprisingly good, the shifters are solid and easily adjustable. I did need to cut the stock rubber spacer to allow for the install of both toe and heel levers. Perhaps the manufacture could have supplied a shorter one with the shifter to make a complete kit. Would I recommend these yes, as for value much better than buying the Harley parts.

Just remember, you should take out the screws before you attach it to your cycle. I know some people had a hard time. Using hammer boards other things other people said they stripped out the screw well that only happens because you tried to force it on instead of taking out the screws and then putting the screws back on. So far two days everything is fine so we’ll see how it holds up but as of now it’s a very goodbye.

Theyre good but the bolts that Come with it suck I highly suggest getting different ones like the ones in the photo because you can really tighten them down, the bolts thst come with it you can strip the heads, the bolts are a M8

Yes, I love that hill toll kick shifter. It was easy to install. It was just a matter of adjustment to get it set but really do enjoy it.
