[Updated 10/14/23] Dead in under 30 days. KNOWN issue with product. Dissatisfied customer.
I purchased this product brand new from Amazon. It is less than 30 days old, and has not even been through a full battery cycle. While operating the unit two evenings ago, it began to not operate continuously. The unit would sporadically just shut down. The unit will now only occasionally operate for up to 30 seconds or so. If you remove the battery pack, reinstall it, and toggle between off and on a few times. This unit is a complete failure. I contacted customer service and they stated that this is a KNOWN issue. They offered to honor their limited one year warranty and provide me with a new unit after I have returned this defective unit. I did ask for something of value to offset the inconvenience and amount of work that I have lost because of this failed unit. I asked if I could keep the battery that was with this unit as a back up. They denied this and did not offer anything else to make up for this grievance. Let’s be clear. A company that is simply honoring their limited warranty is not providing good customer service. That is the bare minimum expected out of this exchange. At this time, I would recommend purchasing from a different company. I will update this review if anything changes. Update 10/14/23: FlowZone has sent a new unit. It is fully operational day 1. I will update this review if anything changes.

Flow zones return policy is not one year.
I run a Small farm that is just big enough that the allure of a 9 gallon rolling backpack sprayer with a year warranty was enough for me to shell out nearly $500. When I first Started working with the sprayer I was blown away and I fell in love. It literally saved my season for me because we were in a cloud of smoke from the wildfires in northern California and spraying our crops once a day just for the purpose of smoke was a additional full-time job. Nonetheless I loved it so much I bought a second one and my wife and I were able to turn a full-time job into a few hours work between the two of us. Unfortunately both of them broke. One right before the very end of the season (4 months) and the other a few months into the next season (total of six months of use). I assumed when they said a year warranty it meant a year warranty so I waited until spring to contact them and boy was that frustrating. You would think they would understand the importance of rectifying the situation when the price tag for an item is $500 it really should be obvious how time sensitive resolving the issue is. After months of reaching out we finally got a response that informed us we were 9 months into the warranty and they don’t really tend to replace the item after that long. Instead a month later I received the wrong motor in the mail with the wrong instructional video to replace it. It was really unfortunate I thought I found the needle in the haystack when it comes to sprayers I had even gotten two of my neighbors to purchase them. Goes to show when you read some thing on a box don’t always believe it definitely don’t go $1000 in the hole believing it.
