Inexpensive hair clasps
These are inexpensive hair clips and work just fine. They look very nice and are of varied colors which is nice, rather than having all the clasps look the same. I bought on line after failing to find any similar clasps in local beauty supply or box stores, very unusual.

Pretty and can hold at least half of my thick hair. I usually wear my hair half up/half down, so they woek really well on the half up part.

Good for thick curly hair!
These barrettes work pretty well for thick hair. They aren’t big enough to hold all of my hair in a pony tail, but they do securely hold half of my hair at a time.

So far so good!
Having tried a few different products and being disappointed, I have found these and so far they are great. I have medium thick wavy hair and use these to pull the front of my my hair to the back. They grip well and do not slide out, they have a thin rubber grip on the clip. The fastener holds well and doesn't pop open. They would not work to pin back all my hair as its too thick but they work great for what I use them for. I've added pics for reference.

These are just about perfect! Well made, and very attractive. Also a great bargain... the best I've seen in a long time. These aren't just glued together - they have real construction attributes that, if you just look after them, they should last for a long time. I have looked for something like these clips for ages in thrift and older discount stores. Highly recommend.
