So far it works very well, already paid for itself in election signs. It’s loud, but most stepper motors are. Good value for the money.

I purchased this cutter to replace my aging Seikitech 720H that I've been using for the past 15 years. The SC2 has tons more memory than my previous cutter which eliminated some issues that I have had for a while now. So far the performance has been good. The only negative I can give, and I will echo what another person mentioned in their review, is the included stand hardware. The screws are lousy. I fought with them for about an hour before raiding my parts cabinet and what a difference quality screws make! I was so frustrated I was tempted to return the whole thing. Using the better screws made things go much faster. In the end, the stand is quite well built and I do not foresee any problems.

When the description said "quieter stepper motor" I expected something relatively quiet... nope! This thing is LOUD! The aluminum casing acts like a speaker, and just amplifies the noise coming from the motors. Past that, easy setup, software worked immediately. I was already familiar with VinylMaster, so I was up and cutting my own designs in minutes. It does what it was made for, but "quiet" it is not.

Its worked well me very happy!
