Cable Matters [Intel Certified] 40Gbps Active Thunderbolt 4 Cable, 2m

I plugged one end into my Philips Brilliance 499P and the other into my MacBook Pro and it instantly worked perfectly. It is well made and a good length. I was wondering if I should buy the Apple equivalent but decided to buy this less expensive cable. Good call - thoroughly recommend this cable - it was the lowest cost 2m one I could find so I think this definitely represents good value for money. I know in theory I don't need this cable to connect my MacBook to my Philips monitor but in practice I couldn't get the USB C cable supplied with the monitor to work. If you are having a similar issue then this is probably the easiest way to resolve it and enjoy your Philipps monitor.

My Apple Studio Display came with a woefully short 1m Thunderbolt 3 cable. A longer cable from Apple was almost 3x the price of this one. Ordered this 2m Cable Matters mid afternoon, and it was delivered later the same day. It’s really sturdy and appears to be very high quality. Works perfectly to connect the display to my MacBook Pro.

For a long time now I have been using a USB-C cable with my work laptop and a Thunderbolt 3 cable with my MacBook. Finally I can replace them both with this single cable!

Really good cable. The cable could have been a little better but I’m guessing that would increase the price. The plastic is a bit stiff and feels brittle but it works great and is cheaper than most 2m Thunderbolt cables

Failed after one month. Seems that the inevitable flexing near the port it's connected to caused intermittent contact, which resulted in uncommanded ejection of the connected device. Disappointing to say the least at this price.

Does not work at all after a bit more than 1 month, my only regret is that I did not return it the first time I saw how unreliable it is and how the connection broke sometimes, because that started happening while the product was still eligible for return. Now it is completely useless, and I have replaced it with a working, supposedly "lower-quality" cable I got for 1/5th of the price of this one. Pathetic.

If you are going for TB3/4 then get this cable. Avoid those that are not Intel certified if you want reliability and maximum transfer rates. They are expensive but you get what you pay for as far as performance goes. Recommend this one if you need the longer length.

This is the only USB-C cable that properly connects the M1 Macbook Pro to my Widescreen monitor where the Macbook detects the monitor and the monitor's USB hub also works.

Un cable oficial de Apple mucho más caro no funcionó bien y este sí. Una lástima que no los haya de 3 metros.

Intel認証のThunderbolt 4ケーブルということで信頼性を期待し、使い始めてからすでに5本目のリピート購入です。主にMacBook Proとドッキングステーションを繋ぐケーブルとして、1年以上常時接続していますが、これまで一度もトラブルはありません。40Gbpsのデータ転送も100Wの給電も、スペック通りに安定して動作してくれています。 特にこの2mという長さは、デスク周りのレイアウトの自由度を格段に上げてくれるため、非常に重宝しています。 ただし、注意点として、毎日のように抜き差ししてバッグに入れて持ち運ぶような使い方をすると、端子の根本部分が負荷に耐えきれず、折れてしまうことがありました。デスクなどに据え置きで使う分には最高の製品ですが、頻繁な持ち運びには少し気を使う必要がありそうです。

Update 1 Woche nach Nutzung: Ich muss meine Bewertung nach oben korrigieren, da hier mein Kabeltester wohl Schwächen hat. Ich habe das Kabel dennoch an meinem eGPU getestet und es erfüllt alle specs und schafft mit meinem TH3P4G3 (Performance Screenshot angehängt. ------------------------- Ursprüngliche Rezension: Laut meinem USB Kabeltester handelt es sich bei diesem Kabel nicht um ein TB4 Kabel. Interessant ist, dass ein TB5 Kabel, dass ich von der gleichen Marke gekauft habe, richtig als TB5 Kabel erkannt wird.

This cable works flawlessly at 2M with full thunderbolt 4 bandwidth. I've been through so many cables that say Thunderbolt 3/4 and so many just don't work, or only support lower bandwidth applications not TB3/4. Get this brand, save yourself the headaches of cheaper lower quality ones.
