I have a craftsman plastic tool like this with a simple dial for 40 years and it’s just fine. Don’t bad mouth plastic. In the gentle hands of a careful owner, it has continued to serve its purpose 100%. Once you own one of these, you really come to appreciate it. I take care of my tools!! This one adds a digital display and it really works well. As accurate as I can measure. If it doesn’t fail, value for money is excellent. I’ll update if necessary.

This electronic caliper is great quality, is light weight, has a digital display and if the battery dies, also has a printed display. The battery life will last a very long time. Great for jewelers.

They work, but they feel really flimsy and it does the job. I probably wouldn’t use it if I was a pro and needed something precise.

Does the job I needed it for and seems reasonably well made, especially considering the price. It comes with a battery already installed and all you need to do is pull out a protective strip to activate the unit's battery. It also comes with a spare battery which is a nice touch. Nice feature is an automatic on function as soon as you start to slide the caliper to take a measurement. And it has an OFF button so you can shut it off to save battery when not in use.

This is a good replacement for the one that has quit working, it's the same brand that I already had just another color and the battery is a 2032 button size which is better than the other one, easy to use and read

I bought two of these calipers. Shame on me. I thought the batteries just had a short life as others mentioned. Nope. Both times they just died entirely, batteries are not the issue. These are just poor quality.
