Put them on a revolver, a pistol and a rifle. Very well made; they fit all three guns with a little nudging around to fit each one; very easy to use; way less money than lockboxes and no issue with the battery on the box being too low when you need the gun in a hurry. Actually does not take more than a couple seconds to dial in the 3 digit combo anyway compared to a box. You can even use it in the dark if you just set the combo to one/two/three etc. digits away from your desired code and then just move the dials to the code with that many clicks in the dark. I will not go back to a box. Works great.

I bought several of these because I'd moved onto base housing. That required me to either have a trigger lock or a locked case to transport a weapon on and off base. These were cheap, they are easy to set the combo and they are solid. A trigger lock is just that, its not offer the speed of the quick release lock boxes or the safety of an actual safe. But they do add a degree of safety by locking the movement of the trigger on most weapons. Keep in mind there are weapons this will not work well on like lever action rifles, ARs with folding trigger guards and the like. As mentioned I went with these because Master Lock makes good locks and because I could set the combo to what I wanted. That means all the combos can be set to something easy to remember and changed later if I wish. The price is very good and there is nothing I can really complain about. A good product that works well if it fits your need.

Great quality. Feels more solid and durable than other locks that have similar features. Used it on my Glock 19 and fits well. Fits better if you lock it with the trigger depressed after verifying it’s unloaded. I just hate how it no longer will fit in my safe. However, definitely great for something that you want to keep by your bedside or in another room in a concealed location. One weird thing is the rotation of the dials. They move freely in both directions UNLESS you go past 9. Say one of your digits is a 9 and you accidentally rotate past it into 0. You won’t be able to rotate it back to 9 from 0. All of the dials do this and not sure if it’s some sort of safeguard? But, would recommend for your lock not to include the number 9 esp if you need to get the trigger lock off in an emergency.

This review is for the Master Lock Gun Lock, model 94DSPT. As noted in the product material, DO NOT USE ON A LOADED WEAPON. I'm using the 94DSPT lock on a Colt Mustang Mk IV / Series 80 handgun. The lock is large for the Colt (the pistol being a small "pocket" .380). However the lock does function on the Colt, blocking access to the trigger. Removal of the lock can be done in under 5 seconds - assuming there is sufficient light and that the owner's hands are not shaking under stress. If you're looking for something with fast access to the weapon in the dark (by the bedside, perhaps) a table top gun safe with a "touch lock" or "bio-metric" might be a faster access choice. Note that, on the Mustang Mk IV, the lock can be slid just a touch fore-and-aft when locked on the pistol. I tried racking the slide on the unloaded weapon and then pushing the lock around and could not get the trigger to activate. However, Murphy's Law must always be taken into account. So, in a worst case scenario, if you have an unloaded chamber but leave a loaded magazine in the weapon the slide could be activated, a round chambered, and the trigger potentially activated by moving the Master Lock to the rear. Not something an adult would conceivably do, but a child with enough hand dexterity and curiosity might. Follow the lock instructions - don't use it on a loaded weapon. I normally store this weapon in an Uncle Mike's Sidekick holster (a small-of-the-back, right hand draw model). This lock prevents that - it's much too large to slide into the holster. Fit and finish of the lock is acceptable and the market price is reasonable. HTH Regards, Jim

I really like this lock. It’s very simple to use and I don't have to worry about having another gun lock with a key that I will eventually loose. From the moment I took it out of the box I could tell it was the real deal. Has a nice solid weight to it. When you separate the lock into its 2 parts it reveals the rubber toothed interior that grips onto the weapon from both sides so that it won’t slip when in place. All you do is align the parts and then squeeze the lock until she can’t squeeze no more. Once I got it in place and locked for the first time I knew I made the right purchase. Important Note: Just remember to follow ALL of the instructions and be sure you can lock and unlock this item before actually securing it to your weapon(s). I feel like this lock could really take a beating and not budge a bit. Now don’t get me wrong, I am sure somebody out there knows some crazy way to engage the trigger even with the lock on. Or the lock can be picked in some manner that not the average person is aware of. These things are not my concern and if it’s one of yours then you shouldn’t be looking at this but, at something much bigger and more $$$. These are great for any average gun owner who is concerned with basic safety. You just set it and no running around looking for the key next time you want to use your weapon. I actually ended up purchasing several of these locks to use on my handgun, shotguns, Ar15, and I even use on my cross bow. Just something every gun owner should have. Pros: - Solid construction. - Easy to follow instructions. - Simple keypad (No more pile of keys). - Versatile lock. Fits on 4 different types of weapons I own. Cons: - For my needs I see none thus far but will update as it changes.

This product does an excellent job of what it was designed to do . . . namely, prevent a child or a person not yet trained in the proper use or handling of a handgun from being able to accidentally pull the trigger. It should go without saying that the handgun should not be loaded with live ammunition when this lock is in place. Once you move the lock around, with the lock bar positioned behind the trigger, and try a few different positions for the lock, it is easy to find the most secure position for this lock on your specific firearm. The three-digit combination is simple to use, easy to re-set to a new combination, if needed, and there are no keys to lose or find on an already over-crowded key ring. The lock case and lock bar are very strong and well-made, yet the inside of the lock that touches your handgun's finish is soft and non-marking. All in all, it is an excellent product, and I recommend it highly -- for its intended use.

For the money, it works well enough. I have it on an AR-15 trigger, and it can barely close around it, and it jiggles a lot, but I don't think it would fail to do its job. It was easy to set the combination with the instructions, too.

I've been buying these trigger locks for over 20 years. I (and my wife) trust them to keep our family safe. Still using the original locks, was time to order more due to how I transport my firearms. The 3 pack is for sure the best value. Rock on! (Or should I say, "lock on!") Let's keep our firearms safe!

These are the best trigger locks in my experience. I've tried many cheap ones, and while these are a little pricier, they are still the best in terms of smoothness and how the mechanisms feel. You get what you pay for.

I've had issues with cheaper trigger locks and I find that they stick when trying to unlock them and the number dials are finicky, but you get what you pay for I guess. I think this master lock trigger lock is worth the extra money, it is my favourite now out of the 5 or 6 brands I've tried. It doesn't stick when unlocking and the number dials are buttery smooth!
